Topic: RE: Sugar & Back 2 the GYM!!!
Hey Dawn - Congrats to you on completing your B2B, Iwas reading your daily notes, and was impressed, It really is hard work- getting back after veering off center. I know - just getting back to the gym- I have soreness- but Im good with it. See- I need to be at the gym- all that house stuff- I dont do it- I clean my apartment and the landlord does all the rest..plus being a 6day a week gymrat is nothing new to me- Ive been a member at Ballys - 3yrs now..was a member at Lucilles 2 yrs before that and was a member at Ballys - years ago again- so being in the gym- is like being in the office to me- just not home yet honey- lol . ALSO I know If Im home- I will si****ch TV - veg out and that is the worst 4 me.Being at the gym is my therapy and i need some srious rehab so I appreciate the points you made and they are valid- and I will go out and take a walk at lunch when I can- but otherwise- 6days a week at the gym yields my highest results. Here is how I see it- if you wanna change your results- then you have to change the ingredients..if what Im doing now is not yielding the results I want- then I have to make changes to see results. SO consistency is what I need. 3x week will maintain your weight 4x or more will build/lose weight. So I hope to see you continue with your B2B and keep posting here ..thank you! Hugs, Donna

Hey Tammy!! Miss U Too! I know I cant post everyday- too much going on- but weekly I thought everyone can participate! And NOW that you're not posting daily- of course Im going daily to the gym- So yesterday I worked out- 2 hours - 50 mins cardio + boxing with 2lb gloves (harder the longer you do it) then lat pull down/ back press/ biceps/arm press Thigh abductor and adductor.. I was back pressing 180 & on the thigh machines- 60/70 lbs I was like WOW!! then I hit the sauna for 20..Yay! My muscles are sore today- but I'll be happier when Im in smaler clothes. Im tired of being envious of anyone I meet that is size 10 or smaller..I came to a sobering thought; when you have nothing to lose - you really have no reason - but go for it. This chance only comes around once and I dont want to be wasting it and settling for where I am. I just can't. Anyway- thanks so much- and look forward to everyone's updates. Hugs Donna

Great job on the 10 ..... This surgery really changes our entire body because I never wore a 12 or even a 14 for that matter when I was 180 all those years ago. Now, they slide on with ease... WOOO HOOOO Tammy

Wow, working to our 18 month surgiversary..... Where'd the time go???? I know I've seriously slacked in exercise these past couple months & I can tell. Get tired alot faster than I used to. (although working 55-60 hrs a week has something to do with it too).... My weight is still teetering between 179 & 183. I know it's from lack of exercise. I will post weekly with you. Not sure how much exercise I'll get in before our Wisconsin trip (on Nov 7th) because of overtime, but I'll continue to post. I miss everyone on here big time.... Thanks for posting & good luck on your quest.... We'll do it together. Tammy 291/284/182.5/164-174 sureons goal

Hi Diana- I wish you all the best andf an uneventful surgery Think how great you will look in your bathing suit in Hawaii!! THAT will get you through this! I spent 3 weeks in Hawaii and loved it, as I had friends who moved there. Like I said- my gall bladder was removed w/ WLS and I thought I couldnt live without it either so don't worry - I'm sure you will be fine. Hugs, Donna

Hi Diana, Good luck and I hope everything goes great! I know I'm 5'7" and I'm at 135 and wearing size 4/6. I would think where you're at or 145 should be great and if you've been able to maintain at 155ish for 4 months.. maybe your body likes it there. Again, good luck and here's to a speedy recovery! Hi Donna, Good for you! Not to add any, oh - I guess weight on our shoulders - this last month's support meeting was about exercise. It turns out that for those that lose over 50 lbs, if we want to maintain it we need an average of 90 minutes of exercise a day! Remember, we don't have to do it all at once, and cleaning the house, washing the car, mowing (behind a mower, not on it) your lawn counts. Donna, I would adjust your goal of EVERY day... it sets you up for failure. Try that average of, say 40 minutes a day for 280 minutes in a week and build up to the 90 minutes per day for 450 minutes per week. That way, if life interfers, you can make it up another day w/o feeling like you let yourself down. Dawn

Topic: RE: This damn hair
Hi Kristin, Mine isn't falling out as much... not that I notice as I've had it about 2" now since May, but it's still thinner and I, like Lori, have all these new baby hairs at the front hair line. How is your bloodwork? If it's normal, I wouldn't be too stressed yet, especially if you can see new hair starting to grow in. Dawn

Best of luck with your surgery tomorrow Diana! Know you will pull through it just fine. You will feel better afterwards also. I had problems with my gall bladder before I had the Gastric Bypass. My surgeon removed my gall bladder while he was in there. The biopsy on it indicated that I had been having trouble with it for a while -- I didn't even realize it at the time. Just thought it was part of being fat, I guess. Oh well, good luck! Eileen 327/199/160ish?
