When does our brain catch up? Good question. I read in one post it's two years. I need to visit my pyschiatrist and discuss this. His group works with a lot of WLS patients, so he may have some insight.
Maybe, with hubby's permission of course, I'll go out somewhere and see if I can get hit on. Some cheap validation may get me over the hump. How awful is that. I begin to wonder if I'm more upset about my body imagine, or my self indulgence about it?
So much for early morning introspection.

I don't have as much excess skin as others, but I don't like the jelly, over the top of pants look I have either. My biggest issue at the moment is basic body image. I keep waiting my internal body image to match my external one. I know my weight and clothes size and I realize how much smaller I am than I was, BUT I don't see/feel it yet. I just see the fat thighs and tummy and such. When does our brain catch up?

Wow! That's not good on any front! I had a kidney stone about 16 years ago and it was NOT fun and have no desire for a repeat. I found out in August that I have stones in my kidneys, which isn't necessarily a horrible thing, but I sure don't like hearing we're more prone to them as I'm already prone to them. Isn't it amazing how many things are issues now because we LOST the weight. We spend years hearing that our problems are due to being overweight, so we finally do something to lose it. Now that we've lost it, we hear that our problems are because we lost it. It drives me nuts!! 
Any way... feel better and I hope you find a urologist quickly and everything goes great!

Hi All,
I think I told you that I was going to have a liver biopsy last Thursday due to continued elevated liver enzymes and low ceruloplasmin. The biopsy was easy - though I had to lay on my side on a towel for an extra hour because my blood pressure didn't want to get above 80/50. I was suppose to hear the results Monday (11/6) afternoon, but when I got home from work today the doctor's office called to say they had to reschedule the appt. I'll of course let you all know the results when I know.

Hi All,
Since one common thing we all have post-op is eating high protein, low carb meals I thought I'd share what I found last night. The Dollar Tree by my house has the basic Atkins program book with over 100 recipes in it for just $1.00! If anyone would care for one I could go buy it and mail it to you. You'd just have to mail me the money to cover it and shipping. Just let me know if you're interested.

You looked very cool! Isn't it amazing how much more fun it is to dress up, whether in costumes or fancy, when you're not looking for plus size clothes?! You looked like you were all set for a fun evening! By the way... I love your timeline pics at the top of your new page. I glimpsed 'photobucket' before it started. I just signed up with them and tried the download filmloop, but it put an obnoxious ad in it and I didn't see an option that would look like yours. Also, with 3 choices I wouldn't know which to use on this site. In otherwords.. how'd ya do it????

Great to hear from ya as usual! You seem so happy and your head seems to be in a great place. I think that's a bigger sign of your success than a number on a scale. My family is orginially from Milwaukee (I was born there) so I have fond memories of that neck of the woods. Happy Anniversary and have a safe and fun trip!

Like Lori, I don't think I'll ever get insurance approval. The only area I may have issues with rashes is the top of my thighs were they meet my tush, and that isn't much, so I'll be paying for everything... which means unless I win a lottery or PCH... I'll just have to deal. I hope it goes great and that it exceeds your expectations!
