Topic: RE: November & GYM IS OPEN!!!!!!!!!!
I'm working with you girl! Still exercising every day at least 30 mins. Trying to exercise 2x a day at least 3 days a week. On weekends up the time to 60 minutes sessions. Pretty much keeping on track. My weight is waffling around from 183 to 179 to 182 to 181.5 to 183 again. What the heck! I don't weigh every day but for the times I do it has been all over the board. I have been exercising so consistently now, it is a habit. Thank goodness because I need that habit. When I don't do something to sweat during the day, I feel like something is missing. Another good thing! I don't go to the gym because I really haven't found one I like. (I think I'm too cheap) Plus it's so easy to do exercise tapes and no excuses when working out at home. But I do need to up my weight training and can only do that at a gym. So after the 1st of the year when they have all the special, I might look into joining one. Keep going. Take care Pam

Hey Donna, Isn't it great that even when I feel like I should still be going to the women's sizes that just trying on something in the regular size sections blows our minds!? It amazes me too!!! Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for the post on protein. I hadn't thought about that but it sure makes sense and I have increased my water intake. I found that I just haven't been getting it all in. So, now before I eat breakfast, I drink 25 oz of water, it takes a little longer, but if I'm hungry I get it in and then I drink another one at work during the day...that way when I get home I can relax and drink as the evening progresses and I have gotten 75+ ozs. in since I started this new regime. Use to be if I got 50 ozs in I was doing great. This way I won't not drink it because I am usually pretty hungry in the morning before I get to work. So far it has worked. I lost 1/2 pound this a.m. and hope by increasing the protein as you suggested to kick start my butt back into gear. Thanks again for the tip! Lori 293/189.5/150

Hi Rita, Glad you've stopped on in again. The stomach pain may be gallbladder related so be sure to talk to your doctor. There is a good chance the low blood sugar is 'delayed dumping.' The RN in charge of my program was telling us about a poor woman who was given the traditional glucose diabetes test (DON'T EVER LET SOMEONE DO THAT TO YA... HAVE THE BLOOD TEST INSTEAD) and she was 'diagnosed' as both hyper and hypo glycemic! Any way... since we eat smaller portions and our liver doesn't get that fact, it will release the normal amount of insulin when it's triggered to do so by us eating - usually carbs. Then, because we didn't eat as much food - there's now too much insulin running through our system, creating the shakes, etc of a low blood sugar attack. I started having the low blood sugar issues about 5 months ago when my diet was more pre-op than post-op - usually about 10pm-2am. For me, it's USUALLY because I had too many carbs during the day that weren't offset by protein, but not all the time. Of course that would make it too easy. When I eat right - no problems. Fall into the snacking, sugar & carbs... low blood sugar. Never easy is it? Obviously, if it continues and gets progressively worse... see the doc. Dawn

Hijack! Hi Lori- you and I are about the same size- and isn't that wild? fitting into size 14?..adn when I bought boughts last month- I bought two pairs- and could not believe I was buying size 7.5!! I used to be an 8.5 to 9! AND THE BOOTS ZIPPED ALL THE WAY UP MY LEG!! ;DANCE: .. I can't remembet the last time I DID that! I can't believe the things I fit into and I keep thinking its a big conspiracy! That the designers are actually cutting clothes bigger because I keep fitting into them! I did buy a new faux leopard jacket- because the old one I had- which was a gorgeous swing coat and worn only 5 times- wrapped around me 1&1/2 times!!! There were days I could not fit into it..and I gave it away to a good friend of mine- *****ally needed a winter coat and has helped me with so much..and I was happy that I replaced it with something I equally loved! Keep it up and stay on track! I am going to the gym tonight to work out.. I ate M&Ms today!! Shoot me! LOL hugs, Donna 325/205/???

Hey Rita, I know how you feel...I too am at a stand still at 189.5 that fluctuates back up to 192 at times. I find it frustrating, but people say I look wonderful and I must admit that I do feel wonderful too! I purchased my first size 14 dress yesterday and I just couldn't believe it. I have never worn that size before and didn't think I would ever in my life feel what it is like to wear something so small in my mind's eye. From the time I was 12 I was wearing larger then I should have been wearing clothes. I don't really know what size I was because my mom and grandmother made all my clothes. Back in the 60's they didn't have Lane Bryant or large women's clothes that were trendy for kids, so we never shopped at stores where I tired on clothes at all. I think the first time I went to a store to try on clothes was when Lane Bryant opened and I was a size 24 at that time...I was only 18 years old. so you can see how excited I am to be a size 14/16 regular even if I still weigh 189. I find this amazing and could not even imagine wearing a size 8 or 10. Hope you find out what is going on with your blood sugars and all. Keep us posted. Lori 293/189.5/150

Lori, You look Great!!! I am doing the copy and Paste thing also. I have not completed it yet. You just have to make some time for it. I am trying to create a Website too. I don't know what I am doing I just do a little every night. I will share when it is somewhat complete. I don't think it will ever be really complete. Keep up the good work... Diana 263/152/145

Thanks, Dawn! I appreciate the help in getting everything transferred over and the words of encouragement. I didn't notice until you mentioned it but I did look at the pic again and your right, those jeans do look a little baggie. Thanks for noticing. I guess its time to try on a smaller size to see if I'm truly there yet!! Lori 293/189.5/150

Hiya'll.. I'm sorry to have been MIA...I can't even say that I was lurking because I wasn't really but I did miss you, guys...Just got so very busy b/w work, kids, and home. I've stoped losing weight. Can't complain about anything big, but I'm not feeling as super as I used to.... and about 75% of the time my stomach is uncomfortable after eating. Although that usually passes within half-hour. Also had a few uncomfortable Low-sugar spells. all of it is unpredictable and I can't tell what's causing what. I know that I need to go back to basics, but I find it hard to find motivation to do so...( . And Even though I didn't get to the 150s I was shooting for, I'm in 160s.... and look pretty darn good if I may say so myself... And I just love running into people who haven't seen me in a while .. I hope you all doing well. And happy upcoming Holiday Seaon to you!!! bunches of hugs to all of you, Rita

Hi Lori, WOW!!! You look WONDERFUL!!! and those 16's are looking baggy so I bet you'll meet that size 14 goal by Christmas. Live the others I did a lot of copy & pasting of old stuff to new, including my dividers from my old page. Like Lori, I like the new photo upload section. You'll get there and I don't think the old data is going anywhere too soon. Dawn
