Hey Tam! Boy have I missed you! It's just not the same around here without you! Glad to hear that you had fun with your family! Yeah, this time last year, I was hoping to be below 200 by New Year's Eve. Although I didn't make that goal, I did look and feel awesome for the first New Year's Eve in several years! It's amazing what we have all accomplished in this last year. We are all totally different on the outside as well as being alot more confident and outgoing on the inside! I feel so good about ME for once in my life! I get so emotional this time of year. Not bad emotional... GOOD emotional! I want to spend time with my family and friends. I want to connect with people. I wish with my whole heart that we could all get together for some holiday cheer. But I guess we will have to settle for being together in spirit! That is one reason I like the exchange so much. It's a way for us all to connect with at least one person on here. And since this is our second year of doing this, we will have connected with at least 2! Still lovin my fuzzy pink blanket by the way!!! Oh yeah, if Donna ever gets off her butt and sends us that card list, we can connect with EVERYONE!!! Love ya Donna!!! I can't wait to see what my "secret santa" sends me! I am going shopping next weekend for my gift. I love it! Take care and thanks for checking on us!!! Love ya lots, Lori

Hello Everyone.... Hope everything is going well with all of you. Just wanted to check in to say hello ... I know I've been MIA for most of October & November..... Please Please forgive me ... There's not a day that goes by that I don't think of all of you and wonder how everyone is doing. So tell me.... How are we all doing??? How's everyone's weight. Anyone continue to lose, start losing again, or maintaining??? Personally, I'm maintianing around 183. I know it's mostly due to lack of exercise. My eating has been good, for the most part. I do find myself adding in a little more carbs which may also be the culprit ... Although, I try to keep them good carbs. At any rate, I'm very happy with where my body has settled & wouldn't change it for anything. I feel wonderful. Heck last year at this time I was looking forward to being under 220. Healthwise, I'm doing good. I do have to get another liver enzyme test done as my last one was elevated (seems to not be uncommon)... Other than that, things are great. Our trip to Green Bay was a blast. I'm working on converting my profile so I'll put some pictures on there once I get the hang of it. Can you believe next week is Thanksgiving ..... This year is blazin by.... It'll Christmas & the New Year before you know it. I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday season. Can't wait to shop for my gift exchange & start to send & receive the Christmas cards.... Take care everyone & keep up the great work. Tammy Maitaining ~ NOT ~ Gaining

Howdy Tammy, I haven't had a Hida Scan. I've never heard of it. If the MRI shows negative and the labwork I'm doing that day still shows elevated enzymes I'll have to ask about it. I've heard of quite a few folks that the doctors finally caved and decided to take out the gallbladder even though there were no stones and found a totally diseased out gallbladder. Thanks for the prayers. Dawn

Hi Dawn, Thanks for keeping us posted. I have to get my liver enzymes checked again as mine are still elevated. Have you had a Hida Scan done on your gallbladder? Alot of times the ultrasound will be negative because of no stones, but the gallbladder may still be diseased. That's what happened to my brother in law. I'll keep you in my prayers. Well hopefully this is good news for you. At least they could rule out things. I will continue to send good thoughts your way! Hopefully the MRCP will finally give you ALL the answers! Take care, Lori 281/150/140 Met first goal!

Topic: Liver Biopsy Results
Hi All, Hope all is well with everyone. Life here is doing great. I got my results from the liver biopsy. Well, I know a lot of things I don't have, and the two things I know is that my liver enyzmes are elevated and the liver is mildly (Stage I) inflammed (no duh!). Any way... next Wednesday I'm have an MRCP - a MRI of the pancreas, gallbladder, and liver - in particular the bile ducts through them and connecting them. Since the nurse in charge of my program is very certain I've had 3 gallbladder attacks in the last year, there's a good chance that there may be an issue with the ducts since I don't have stones. Of course, I'll let you know the results of that test when I get them. Dawn Still maintaining at goal!

Wow that's great that you've hit your first goal.... I just can't seem to break the 180-184 cycle. Guess I really need to step back & look at what I've been doing to see what changes I need to make. At any rate, I'm excited for how far I've come & that I'm at least maintaining & not gaining... (hey, now that's a new rhyme that i think i'll be repeating often...hahahaha I'm not sure about Turkey day for us, yet, this year. We usually make the 3 hour trip up North to spend Thanksgiving with my Dad, Brother, Sister & their families. But, I'm not sure if I want to jump back in the van to make another trip right away. (although, this is nothing compared to 17 hrs). My Dad's Alzheimers is starting to progress somewhat more to the point where he's saying the same exact thing every 5 minutes during a conversation as if it's the 1st time he said it. It's such a sad disease. I guess I'm still thankful that he knows who we are & can still function independently. As far as we know that is. (my stepmother is very giving of information).... Anyway, I understand what you mean about spending this holiday with your family. Seems to be Thanksgiving is more of Family get together time than Christmas because everyone wants to be home on Christmas. My sister (the one who lives in the same town as me) told me this morning that her son invited her & her husband to his house for TG, so if we stay here, it will be a quiet day with just the 5 of us. I'm guessing we will probably make the trip to Massena. That way, my husbank can hunt with my Dad & Brother for a couple of days... Hmmmm, we'll see. Anyway..... I'm soooooo glad to be back... Thanks for the email..... Gonna shop... (hey you can go online & see the black friday adds) VERY COOL.... Tammy
