Thanks Sherry! Yeah, I had fun flirting with that young guy. He was one of the servers at the mixer (wine tasting party). Boy was he cute! And he was flirting with me mercilessly! It made me feel like a million bucks! You are doing GREAT on your losses! Look at you go! Lori

Welcome back, Lori. I have been away as well. My baby was in the hospital last week, but he is much better now. Wine tasting? That is right up my alley . I have got to recommit to exercise as well. I had better or my family will not be able to live with me. I am in a lot better mood when I have sweat a little as opposed to sitting around like a beached whale. LOL!! Oh and the flirting hunk?? Got one to spare? LOL, Sherry 276/182.5/140

Jc C! your walking at work is better than if you had a desk job, but.... for us to get a benefit (calorie/fat burning, cardiovascular/musculo-skeletal conditioning, e.t.c.) you have to be walking continuously for 30-45 min at pace that keeps your heart rate at 60-80% above your maximum rate...and that depends on your age and weight. Then and only then it's efficient...Otherwise doing anything , even in short incriments beats NOT doing, and everything counts as long as there is increase in speed/length/resistance and such, but you are not getting maximum benefit from it. don't skip your gym just because your job involves walking.. I don't mean to be hard on you or negative, but I'm practicing PA, and I counsel people on it on a daily basis, so I felt I needed to clarify things. Anyway, it sounds you've done very well in your weightloss, and that's great. best wishes to you, Rita

I only have time for a short post today. I am back from my week long conference. It was a good one. We walked ALOT and shopped ALOT! Had too much fun on Wednesday evening (wine tasting event) and got flirted with by a gorgeous young hunk! I didn't lose any weight but I feel good about all the walking I did. I need to get back into my walking routine. That starts tomorrow. I had my MRI this morning so I won't take my lunch today. I have a PILE of work to do so I am playing catch up now. Hope you all had a good week! Congrats to Dawn on making goal! Congrats to everyone else for their accomplishments too! Lori 281/185/140ish

Hi to all of my august famliy members! I haven't had the time to log on and about a week or so. I'm doing good and I can see the rest of you or doing great with the exercise program. I think the last time I post I had loss about 83 are 84 pounds. Now I'm down 89 pounds as of this morning. So I weighted in at 195 this morning. I haven't been exercising like I should but I walk so much at work that I bought a life tracker to count my steps, and most days I take 11,000 steps before I take it off. The 11,000 steps equal to around 4 to 4.5 miles. My nutr- said the walking I do at work really don't count, but I say it do. Well I'm at work and I guess I better get back to work. Take care Carolyn (Jc C.) 284/195/ 160-ished should put me in a size 12.

Topic: RE: Getting married June 17. Plastic Surgery?
C C! I guess, I'm a late responder since it's Monday already, and you probably already in surgery, but anyway... Breast lift sounds relatively benign... and will be good time to have it done before your upcoming Wedding (Congrats!!!). But I'd defenetly wait before surgically addressing all the rest of loose skin issues for a few resons. First, I looked at your profile, and it's clear to me that you are NOT done loosing yet, you are still going down pretty rapidly whether it's related to your health problems or just WLS routine loss. Second, like people mentioned before your skin does have a natural ability to bounce back a bit on its own, but it takes some time which you should give to your body...I've heard 18 months after surgery is the time to start thinking PS give or take a couple mo, but not at 8-9 mo. postop. Third, and I think this is actually very important.... from your profile I thought you said you vere sick now: dehydrated, vitamin-defficient, and in need for endoscopy/colonoscopy. And that sounds like a big priority to me. You should get well first, and only then have another surgery. You are in it for life-long. Please don't ru**** Best of luck to you, hugs, Rita
