Congrats of everything! I think I did too much harm to my knees hauling around that extra 100+ pounds that running isn't in my future. I walk, bike and swim. Mary 256/145/140

Check with you doc. I know mine measured me at my pre-op appointment. I was just in for my 9 month check up and saw the picture they have of me at my first appointment. I have taken monthly pix beginning with surgery day but I lost 20 before surgery. At my one year appointment they will take another picture. I've gone from a 24 to an 8. I haven't gotten out my fat jeans to put them on yet. That should be fun. I got rid of everything except one pair of jeans. Mary

Woo hoo! I think you speak for lots of us! I am finally (for the first time in my life) not the FAT SISTER (I have 4 sisters) and the one who is now is mighty mad! I have worked hard and sacrificed and I'm going to enjoy it! Mary

Like everyone else I haven't lost much (according to the scale) but I have gone down a size or two. At my 9 month appointment I was 3 pounds from being in a normal weight range and only .2 % away from a normal body fat! Woo hoo! I still don't have a huge appetite but when I get the munchies I head for my sugar free popsicles. My doc suggested that I go off caffeine prior to surgery and I have stayed off (I never want to go through that withdrawl again!) and I think that is helpful in not feeling hungry. I still have my 2 protein shakes a day.. actually a protein latte in the am and a shake for my midafternoon snack. I think exercise is critical. Keep walking! Mary

I have walked a mile during my first break this morning and I will walk another during my afternoon break as well. I am also going to walk/jog 2miles tonight. By the way, the urologist told me that the kidney stones were a result from the bypass. Once someone has had a kidney stone, the frequency of getting them is increased with bypass surgery. I had my first stone 2 months before WLS. Hence me having a kidney stone every 2-3 months since. But the good news is - I do not currently have a kidney stone like they thought I did!!! I knew my back was not hurting. June 1: 182.5 June 2: 182.5 June 3: 181 June 4: 179 June 5: 180 June 6: 182 AGAIN!! LOL, Sherry 276/182/140

Happy Tuesday All... It's a B...E...A...UTIFUL day here today.... I did 30 minutes slim n' 6 this morning. Not sure if I'll get my walk in today as I've got a ton of work to do & tonight is our final site walk through for the Relay for Life & my daughters Formal Induction into the National Junior Honor Society. I'm so stinkin proud of her.... I bought her a bouquet of flowers to give to her tonight..... Anyway, I'm just hitting the shower so I'm not sure of my weight today. If it changes I'll let you know, but I'm guessing I'll still be 189.5..... My body is just a luvin this weight Have a wonderful day..... Oh & by the way...I'M SOOOO SORE....jeez even with walking 3-5 miles pretty much every day....you sure get reminded of the muscles you're not using when you start to work the them... It's all good.... after a few days, I'll be fine.... At least I know I'm working the muscles I need (thighs & butt are the most sore)..... Have an awesome day all Tammy 291/284/189.5/surgeons goal 164/my goal 145
