Joyce,
Thanks so much for posting this. I am looking forward since my last post and venting session. After the venting session, I weighed in today at 200.8, so maybe I'm back on track. I am going to look through this information and apply it to myself for the next little while and see what happens.
I'll let everyone know how it goes.
Thanks again!
Lori

Hi Lori -
Been a LONG TIME! i just went through your profile- you are doing a fabulous job-
never lose site of where you started and your achievements.. You look so completely different than you did last Summer..I keep reminding myself..and I have to stop and
enjoy where I am in the journey.. No Im not where I want to be weight wize-
Im still at 220- I suspect Im lower- but its TOM & my hormones are crazy
But in the meantime- step up your exercise- begin using hand weights when you walk- it will help build muscle in your arms..I used to use 5lb hand weights when I worked out on the stairmaster or the treadmill - but I also like to box- and having a soft hand weight strapped around my fist- gave me more feeling of impact - over the course of a week to a month- you'd be surprised how the weights affect your muscles. You can get hand weights at any sportsgood or even Target. I got mine at NY Sports Authority.Also- the weights will spur on additional weight loss- because the muscles will burn fat- whether you are at rest or asleep.. so don't think of yourself as being overfat- think of yourself as being undermuscled ( we all are) and work to change that, and you will kick yourself into Onderland. Also- check to see if your protein levels are say 60-80gms a day. Ive been increasing mine to this- but cant really tell right now. I feel like a newbie postop- trying to manage all my protein again.
have a great day!

190's? Is that the weather report? Low 90s? You are doing AWESOME!!! I'm still at 220- but its TOM again- and my hormones are doing me in..not as far as food choices go- but in terms of eating more than usual..and becuz of my iron- I begin the day being tired..I think Im around 215- I will proably see the loss in another week. Oh well!
In the meantime- I have been working out- just harder to fit into my schedule- I did exercise - early in the day- friday/ sat/ sunday- just not my regular routine- took neighborhood walks..now that the weather is getting nicer, Im going to try getting up
earlier ( and I love my sleep) and getting outdoors before my day begins.. I have a gazelle Im going to put outside and get going with that- I just hate it - with all this rain.
Anyway- keep up the good work- and even though I haven't been around to post as much as I usually do- Im here and workin it!
hugs,
Donna
Topic: Lori? How are you?
Lori, where are you? I saw your post from last week and was a little concerned. I hope you are feeling better. I have problems with stress and anger as well. I have contemplated many times about going to the doctor about it, but I never have. My husband began taking Lexapro a couple of months ago for migraine headaches. It has really helped him a lot. He talks in his sleep now, but other than that he is fine. I think he needed it from living with me.
Let me know how you are doing. By the way, you are more than welcome to come to Alabama anytime. All kidding aside, I would love to meet up with you, Tammy, Dawn, Rita and all the wonderful ladies on this board. A weekend away from the hustle and the bustle could be just what the doctor ordered. Our one year surgiversary is coming up in a couple of months. Wouldn't it be great if we all could celebrate together?
I know it would cost some money and it would be hard for everyone to coordinate their schedules, but it would be so fun.
LOL,
Sherry

Congratulations on Relay for Life. You have worked so hard on this, Tammy. It is such a good cause. Koodos for you!
I walked/jogged 2 miles on Sunday. I did not exercise yesterday. I felt horrible. I have not lost one single pound or inch since the first week in May. I desperately want to begin losing again. My biggest fear before surgery was ending around 170 and then losing no more. I have been down to this size numerous times in the past years doing Weigh****chers and jogging. I hope it is not over for me.
June 1: 182.5

Topic: June Challenge Day 6, 7 & 8
Hi Everyone...
Sorry I was MIA this weekend, but Relay For Life took up all of my time. It will probably take me all week to catch up on my sleep & recover... It's all good, though. Our little village of 2,500 residents raised over $45,000... I think closer to $50,000.... Big round of applause for us Even though we had EXTREMELY bad weather. Raining & cold. Wasn't even 50 degrees.. UGH..... We had such a good turn out considering.
Anyway... I walked about 5 miles on Saturday. Didn't do anything yesterday or today... Brought my daughter for x-rays on her foot. We thought she cracked it, but thankfully, she didn't. Just a nasty sprain....
How did everyone else do these past 3 days???
I was 193 again on Friday... Sunday 191.5 & today 191. Maybe it's going back down. We'll see once life gets back half way normal again..
Hope you're all doing great.
Tammy
