Congrats!!!! It feels wonderful to finally be below 200 lbs. Keep up the good work. It just gets better and better. I have started to lose really slow. I lost 3 lbs in two months and it is not speeding up, however, I am not gaining and although close to one year my doctors says I can lose for another year it just might be slower and I will need to really make good choices. Good Morning, My August Buddies!! It happened...I made it to ONEDERLAND this morning. I weighed in at 199.5 which is blowing my mind. I haven't weighed under 200 since 8th or 9th grade and remember the days prior to gaining beyond 200 when I thought if I ignore it and don't get on the scale anymore, I won't weigh this much. What I silly mind a teenager has, huh?! Well, today is a fantastic day and I am dancing with joy! Lori 293/199.5/135/130

CONGRATS...there is really nothing like that feeling of your 100Lb mark. When I got on the scale that day and it was down 100Lbs I starting dancing all over the house and jumping on things ( and they didn't break) what a feeling. My kids had a great time laughing at me and so did my husband. It's amazing what loosing weight can do for you. I am now down just over 160Lbs and just had my 10month anniv. from surgery. I am so happy I did this....Good luck...Pam

Hi Alicia, Welcome to taking control of your weight issues. I'm going to suggest you post this on the main board or the main lap band board. I'm pretty sure the regulars on this board are mostly bypass post-ops and you'll get a better response from the other two boards. Dawn 258/135/135

Topic: Do you think 5 fills????
Hi everyone, I am feeling a bit frustrated. I am looking at many of your profiles thinking wow they have done great. A lot of women have had thier bandaversaries and have been posting lately. Amazing results I must say. However, I have had two .5 cc fills and notice very little restirction. I have heard and read several times it takes a few fills to reach the so called sweet spot. When I get to it will I start losing weight at a steady pace? I do exercise and won't stop that. I have gone from 280 to 249 and stopped. my surgery was April 2006. A lot of the weight was taken off with the pre op diet. I have started eating sugar again which I kick my self for. I want to get off of it so desperately. I am trying to keep it out of my house and I have made much better eating desisions. It takes time doesn't it? I know this won't happen over night but it is easy to fall back into the same eating patterns when it feels nothing is happening. I would just love some words of wizdom. Perhaps some suggestions. Thank you all. You are wonderful and it feels so good to be able to come here and spout off when needed.

Oh yeah- and I have been boosting my protein to 80/90gms a day- and its made a difference in how I feel . I just bought unflavored protein and you can add it to anything. once scoop= 21 gms.. so that will help you also with your hair. After I increased my potein- I noticed a big change with my hair- your nutrients are not reaching your hair. The skin/hair/nail complex is made just for owmen. so try it! Donna
