Topic: RE: Weight Loss Slowing Down alot
Wow!! 133 pounds is awesome, but I sure understand how you are feeling!! I haven't lost any in 5 weeks and I have only lost 75 lbs!! I have to keep reminding myself that I have come a long way though! I have about 30-40 more to lose. I have been traveling alot so it has been difficult to exercise and all. I find myself grazing alot also. This is the first time I have checked the boards in months, so I now realize I need to keep checking it every day for that motivation!!! Billie

Well It's been 11 months since surgery and my weight loss has slowed drastically. I keep gaining and losing the same 3-5 pounds. As of this morning I've only lost 3lbs since May. Overall I have lost 133lbs which is awesome. I would like to loose another 20lbs but not sure if I can. Has anyone else been frustrated with their weight loss? Debbie

I can eat almost any thing I want, and I tend to over eat @ times! Potion size is different daily, hourly....depends! But I do think it is less than before the surgery!

That is so sad Connie. Give your DH's dad a hug from us. And yes, Bill is in a much better place for sure. No longer in any pain or any suffering. Big hugs to you and hubby too. {{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}} Lori

Me and my DH want to thank you all for your prayers for his dad's best friend, who had a stroke 2 weeks ago and had been in a coma since. Last night at approximately 1:30am, Bill's youngest daughter Mickey sat at the hospital holding her daddy's hand, and said "Daddy, I am here, and I will hold your hand if you need to cross over", and within seconds Bill was gone. While we are all so very sad, we know he is no longer trapped in his own body, and feels no more pain. I spoke to Pop earlier, he is holding up well. He said "I will be sad for a long, long time, but today I am happy, because Bill is no longer trapped in his body and he is with his maker". It's no wonder I admire Pop for his strength. I love you all, and again, thank you for your kind words and all your prayers. I believe our prayers have been answered, and Bill is back home. Connie

Hello Lisa, I just wanted to say that it seems you and I are very similar. Besides the fact we had our surguries the same day. I also started at 305. My situation however, is that I became pregnant in February. That unfortunately didnt work out. But that is ok and I am doing fine. However, being pregnant and hormones and such I ended up gaining some weight. When I found out I was pregnant I was 180 lbs. I am now just under 200. Its driving me insane.. I have upped my water intake, and have been consuming mostly proteins only.. I say mostly because there are some days that I do not make the best choices. I also had a membership to the gym and mine too has expired, and I too could not afford to renew. I have walk away the pounds on dvd that I do.. I keep being teased with losing 5 lbs and gaining back 3. I have tried the protein drinks.. But find I just cant get them down very well. Strange I think. Anyway, Just wanted to say hello. And tell you that I think your doing great! Much Love Kimberly

Hello Danette, I will be 11 months post op on the 29th. and I also can eat a large amount. Infact.. we are low on groceries today and I opened a 15 oz can of corn.. my plan was just a few bites..but my sister called and paying attention... I wasnt....in the middle of the conversation I realized I had eaten the entire can in about 10 min. Chicken I could eat a whole breast too. I do not normally eat canned veggies like that. As I said.. grocery day is fast approaching lol. I have stalled greatly in my weightloss.. However, I have noticed I am losing in inches..I just bought a pair of 16 shorts.. And on the way to the corner store.. they nearly fell off my butt.. I was so embarrassed lol. I did call my surgeon and he told me that he is not at all concerned with the amounts I can eat. I just have to be cautious of WHAT I eat.. Protein first always.. then if room some veggies or fruit.. I try to limit my carbs to once a day. I can eat almost anything I want.. It was unnerving for me at first at how much I can eat.. but thinking back to pre-surgery.. It is still FAR less. Good luck! Love Kimberly
