So hard to believe that a year has gone by already. I have lost 89 lbs, so that is a great thing. Had wanted it to be 100, but oh well. (I'm a light-weight) Just have a few to go. My experience has been fairly easy I am lucky to say. No complications or problems. This was the best thing I ever did for myself. Sue

I never post here, but lurk when I have a little extra time.. Ive followed so many of your stories and have ran into the same walls with you! One year ago today I went into surgery at the weight of 328! Today I weigh 142lbs!! Ive managed to lose the weight and keep my sanity thanks to this wonderful tool that I was given. The journey hasnt been easy, there have been many bumps in the road, bad food choices, and just plain stupidity.. I never gave up and I feel that I have been very successful.... I will continue to follow your stories, and Ill even post once in awhile now too!! Amber M*

Good Morning to all..... Hope everyone is having a great week. My vacation/visit with my sister is going great. She's had some bumps in the road, but is getting stronger every day. Yesterday she tried some pureed tuna salad & about an hour & half later had the worst pain just under her left breast. She cried so hard. I was so scared that she may have torn a stitch or something. Of course I didn't say that right away to her. She had only had maybe 2 medicine cups over 45 minutes. I made her some warm tea & told her to take 2 very small sips. I said it will do one of 2 things. Either ease it out of the pouch, or bring it up. Either way, she should feel better. She was amazed that 2 tiny sips helped it exit down (instead of up & out)..... She had some pain afterwards in the area, but just soreness. I told her that she should stick with just liquids today & give her new baby pouch a break. Poor thing, I felt so bad for her. Boy, how easily we forget those first few weeks..... UUUGGGHHHH Anyway, I haven't done any exercise as of yet, but will hopefully walk or do the treadclimber. Not sure of our plans for today. Think we might just hang out here & relax. Haven't checked my weight yet today either. I'm guessing I'll still be around 182. Have a great day Everyone............ ((((HUGS)))) & Tammy

Debbie Happy 1 year to you............. Yes, this will continue to be a struggle for us, however, if we always revert back to the basics, keep ourselves in check & follow the rules of the pouch, we will all be successful. Remember to use your "tool" properly..... It won't let you don't if you don't abuse it. Keep coming back & posting... I know that it truly keeps me on track & I'm not sure what I'd do without this site.... Take care & keep up the great work Tammy 291/284/182.5/164 surgeons goal

Hi Tammy, I did yard work yesterday evening when the sun went down and the scale moved the slightest little bit this morning. I weighed in at 193.8 so I have .8 to lose to hit -100 pounds. This has been the funniest time for me just trying to loose that last pound...I have more to go, but I think I will give myself a real treat when I hit the century club. I believe I should have a manicure/pedicure. It's been forever since I've treated myself to that and loosing 100 pounds seems like a great way to celebrate. Either that or maybe a message. I haven't had a message since last January 05. Wow! I think that is the treat/reward I really want! Glad I rethought that one out. Glad your sis is doing better. Take care, Lori 293/193.8/135
