Good Morning My Fellow August Friends..... I'm reporting today from a very RAINY, 58 degree's Central NY... YUCK............ How's everyone doing? I'm slowly getting back into the work routine after being on vacation for a week. Absolutely loved my time off (so did my hands ) My sister is doing wonderful, she's lost over 16 lbs in 2 weeks..... Remember those days???? She's slowed down over the past couple of days & called me yesterday wondering if she's doing something wrong. I told her to look at my profile, I did the same thing. Lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks, then only 3 lbs over the next 2 weeks. I told her not to worry, her body has to catch up. I have to share with you guys what she said, though, it's hilarious. She said her & her husband were driving to her surgeons for her 2 week appt. yesterday & she was talking to him about how her weight loss has slowed. Now mind you she works for the government so her wheels are always turning. She turns to him & says "It makes me wonder if I'm some part of a Government Conspiracy & they didn't do the bypass at all" "maybe, he just went in & cleared all the adhesions so I'd feel the pain like I had the bypass & I'm part of an experiment to prove that if the mind thinks you had the surgery, you will lose weight"........... We were laughing so hard I told her that I think the "tuna" incident proved that theory wrong, my daughter said, tell her to woof down something & see what happens... hahahahaha... Of course she was joking, but she said, "wow, you get some weird things going through your head after this surgery don't you?" I told, oh yes you do. She'll probably get the funky dreams too. Anyway, I was 183 yesterday UUUUUUUUGGGHHHHH... Haven't weighed yet today. Kinda stuck again anyway so I'm not expecting it to move right now. No exercise yesterday & probably not today with the weather & the fact that I have to bring my daughter to the orthodontist & the 12 hours of overtime is still in place..... Sooooo, I'll be working my butt off once I get home to get my time in. How's everyone else doing? School has started in alot of places around the country. My girls don't go bac****il Sept 7th, so they have a little over a week left. I can't believe all 3 will be in Middle School ............ Have a great day everyone..... August is slowly coming to an end. We have all, well most of us, had our one year anniversaries! Congrats to all of you! Thanks for all the kind words and well wishes! I love ya all! I will post a reply to everyone at the same time. I got so many nice responses, I wanted to make sure I let each and every one of you know that I appreciated every reply! I am back from vacation, unfortunately. I hate being back to work, but love being back on the boards! I posted a new pic on my profile. It's the same one as I have here now but bigger so you can actually see me in my size 8 levi's! I actually bought a pair of size 6 Levi Straus Signature jeans from Wally World over the weekend. I wore them out on Saturday evening! Yes, they are a little snug, but I got them on and zipped and could actually bend over and tie my shoes still so I wore them out anyway! I got propositioned by a cowboy too! Whoo hoo! Of course I was verrrrry flattered but told him that I was married. He made my night though! My one year appt went well. I posted about it on my profile. I was paraded around the office like a movie star! I loved it! I am a success according to them. Most lose around 70% of their excess weight at one year. I have lost 84%! I found out that their goal weight for me was 166lbs. Well I weighed in at 163.5 on their scales so I guess I beat their goal! I go back in February for my 18 month check up. No plastics referral yet. But I am workin on that. I am going to try and get my PCP to refer me. She is all for it so we shall see. Wish me luck! Anyway, thanks again for all the kind words. Congrats to all you losers on your anniversaries! I love you all and wish you much success in the future. I can't wait to see what the next year brings! Hi everyone, I don't post much but I read every post on here. I have finally been able to bring myself to post a couple of pictures. I have lost 167 pounds in a year and I feel great. Congrats to everyone of you and your sucess also! We all need to be proud of what we have done. Angie
