Topic: Plastic Surgery Consult Yesterday
Went in and talked to the Plastic Surgeon regarding a whole lot of issues and concerns that I had. So glad that I did. Got lots of good information and also some that I probably didn't want to hear. First, I am too early to have PS done. If you are thinking about it, but expect to lose more than 10+ pounds, than you should wait a while. Since I would like to lose about 30 more anyways, I will need to go back in 3 months or so. Second, my insurance may cover my tummy tuck, but probably won't cover either the breast lift/implant or the brachioplasty (bat wing removal). Although, I have got some info in my record about shoulder issues related to the skin on my arms that 'might' help get that fixed. Persistance with the insurance company by the patient may be the way to go here. Got to keep trying when the time comes. Third, we talked a while about the timing of procedures and how they would go. This PS does the work in his office/surgical suite. The tummy tuck should be done first since the recovery time is the longest. A week later, I could come back in and get the breast lift/implants and arms done together. Total time off from work would be 2 -3 weeks. Having the two procedures together will save me a little in the pocket book since I will only have to be have anesthetic the one time instead of 2 separate times. Fourth, I asked about the breast lift and whether or not I would need an implant. I would prefer not to have anthing like that put into my body, but .... He thinks that when he takes off the excess skin, I would not be happy about the small size and shape of the breast without an implant. In all reality, I have always been very large breasted and would feel like a boy if I didn't have at least a full C or maybe even a D cup. So, I guess we are talking lift and implant to give me a natural looking breast again. Cost is not cheap.... somewhere in the neighborhood of $18 - $20,000 for the 3 procedures if the insurance doesn't come through for me. It would be a hell of a Christmas present though I am thinking maybe I would wait till April just for things going on in my personal life. My husband has made comments about me getting the arms and breasts done. So, at least I don't have to convince him that this is a good idea. Will update you in three months or so when I go back in to see the PS. Eileen 337/203/160-170ish?

Good Morning fellow LOSERS..... Hope your week is going by quickly. Seems like it's taking forever for me. Didn't get a chance to post yesterday or exercise for that matter. Probably no exercise for me today either because it's pouring rain outside & it's supposed to continue ALL DAY... Yippee for Central New York. What a wonderful day for a birthday . Yup, today is my 39th Birthday. Can't believe it's my last year in my 30's. I was thinking back on how I was speaking with a friend on my 30th b-day telling her how I always said by the time I'm 30 I wanted to be in the best shape of my life, be settled with my family etc etc. And none of it happened by 30. I recall her saying, well maybe by 35. Well, I can finally say by 39 I'm finally in the best shape of my life & loving life. Hope you all have a great day..... Tammy

Lori Hey, that's a great idea. I never thought of the twisting motion in the desk chair. Hmmm, may have to try that. Great job on the weight loss. I'm starting to teeter again. 178-180 this time. Funny how our bodies work. Glad to hear you're exercising again. It does make you feel so much better. Have a great day HAPPY CENTURY CLUB.... did you put in for your card? I still haven't. Let me know if you know how to get one. Tammy

Size 10???? Welcome to my world sweetheart!!!! It feels amazing doesn't it? I couldn't believe it when I slipped into my first 10's. It felt so good! You are doing great! I am stuck at 163 but ya know, I would be happy to stay here. I am wearing 2 different styles of size 6 jeans and mostly 8-10 in others. I can't complain. And I think I look pretty ok too! Not much time to write today... work is HE**! Take care and congrats! Lori

I've lost 2lbs in the last month, 3lbs the month prior to that. As my year anniversary approached, I was determined to get to the century club. I was a very, very good girl. However, going to back to basics has not moved the scale. Nothing for the past 12 days. To get back on point, how much I can eat changes from day to day. Some days, I can eat a whole sandwich, others, I can barely finish half. Even if you are still sticking with the high protien, low fat, low carb, meals, I think how much you can eat is always going to fluxuate. -Torrey (218/183/160)

Hey Tammy, I noticed that no one had commented for Monday, so I thought I would let you know that I have decided and have begun to exercise again. Saturday, I was watching one of those infomercials on a new exercise thing called the Red Exerciser. It is basically a stool with a lazy susan on it and hanle bars out to the side. I went online yesterday to see how much it was (they were offering it for $14.95 for 30 days on the commercial). I couldn't believe it was $174 w/shipping and handling...for a bar stool basically that swivels. I thought to myself that I could do that in my computer chair and hold on to the desk for my handle bars. So yesterday, I gave it a try. How in one minute I was really feeling the burn. It is like doing the twist from the 60s and it was sort of fun. (You know me, I hate exercise.) Anyway, I am now going to incorporate this into my routine and try to work up to 30 minutes a day at least 3 times a week. Then I am also going to get back to working out on the elliptical trainer. This morning I weighed in at 192, so I lost 2.5 pounds since Sunday. I think it was because I decided to workout, stayed on the protein kick, didn't have a snack yesterday evening and I must admit that I did dump last night for some reason. Not sure why. I also got all my water in yesterday. Hope you have a great day today. Lori 293/192 Century Club member!!/135
