Now there's the Donna we all know & love. Glad that you're feeling better. I am actually feeling better myself today... Didn't workout yet, but I think another day or so & I'll finally have all my strength back from feeling like crap the past couple weeks

Dawn,
Sounds like you have great support groups. Did you get any handouts at that meeting? Sounds interesting. So it's pretty much all protein for your Back to Basic's plan? I look forward to hearing how you do. I'll be here to help you through it.

Hi Carolyn,
Welcome back... I too took a break and it's nice to be back. I think the key for most of us is finding something active we like to do. Most of us don't LIKE to exercise, but we like active activities. Fit in enough active activities, and we're getting in those exercise minutes. Have you tried the pedometer method... track your steps and try and hit 15,000 for weight loss and 10,000 for maintenance.

Hi All,
Well, after 4 months of maintaining goal I've now gained about 6 pounds in the last 2 weeks. After going to Support Group last night and it being the "your new body & owner's manual" lesson I've decided I need a 2-week refresher course. I'm posting this here so that I can have you guys help me hold myself accountable as I post what I eat/drink for the next 2 weeks (well - starting Monday as that's my official weigh-in day) and in case there's anyone else who wants to join me.
The "Back to Basic" plan is - for me - 3 meals a day - and if it's not cottage cheese, cheese or some type of meat - it's a no-go. Also, get in my minimum of 8 glasses of water.
Wish me luck resetting the ol' body and mind.

Everyone!!
I thought we would compile one list- but Lori made a good point- that some people may want to participate in the Card Xchange and not necessarily the Gift Xchange..
so Yes- you will have to sign/send me email/ to receive Xmas cards..
I will tell you- the Singles Board did this last year- and it worked out GREAT..I had received over 50 cards from Newly Post op like myself- and it will be great to see how everyone is doing Year2.. I'm even thinking of doing - dare I say- a photo card?
So if you wanna see my mug at your house- ya gotta sign up!
So I will need your name/address and EMAIL, so I can email everyone a copy of the list!
My deadline would be Nov1..

Hey Lori- GOOD IDEA!! I wasn't thinking like that- I was just thinking of less duplication
but you are right..I will do a list for the card exchange..
And thank you for your note to my other posting today..The good news is I am -4lbs since Doc saw me 9/14..I have returned to monitoring my water/protein..I decided that nothing heals better than protein and nothing like protein to grow your hair..
Im sitting here drinkin mango/peach Isopure & yesterday I did 80z water..I think I can feel my kidneys floatin away!
Nothin like an ulcer to give u new religion..
I'm feeling good.
