For Monday, B'fast was fruit because I hadn't read this post yet! Lunch was a baked chicken breast and dinner was fat free yogurt and a slice of cheese. Ihave a really hard time with water, but I manage to get it in via decaf unweet iced tea, and PLENTY of it!
I also got some exercise in by weed whacking all around my house and down the drive. Boy are my forearms sore!!!
And the scale actually showed 183 this am so hopefully it will STAY there or go down even more!

First, thanks everyone for tolerating my posts for the next 2 weeks. It's helping me that I can post here for accountability.
Food for the day - 3 meals as planned and only protein!! Water intact was outstanding as I drank almost 3 liters of water.
How'd you do Debbie?

Diana, I'm so sorry! But I can relate! 10 weeks after my bypass, I had my appendix out!.
2 days isn't realistic. I had mine out several years ago, laproscopic and was off 3 weeks. You might make it back in weeks, but don't think you can do 2 days.
Email me when you get your surgery date, let me know when and where. If there's anything I can do, just let me know.
We really need to get together, it's rather silly not to, as close as we are!
Take Care!

Welcome aboard!
Computer is good for stress - unless you're trying to get something accomplished in a hurry!
I'll post a daily Back to Basics - Monday type thing for us to list how we did on food/water and our weight - though we're not SUPPOSED to weigh daily.
Here's to back on track with behavior and you losing those last 30 lbs!!

Hey Dawn,
I would love to "Get Back to Basics" with you. I had a really bad summer and unfortunately, my weight shows it. I lost 8 punds in July when my chaos started and then in August lost 1 pound and so far for September, I've GAINED 6 pounds. I asked my doctor to take me off Effexor and changed me to Cymbalta (anti-depressants) so hopefully that will help, but I really need to stop the stress eating. I'm much better than I used to be, but still catch myslef heading to the kitchen when I am upset! I have 3 small kids so it's hard to head to the treadmill unless they are in bed, so maybe I just need to head to the computer when I get upset instead! Anyway, since i am just now reading this post, I will start 5 minutes from now! 3 basic protein meals per day and plenty of water.
Hopefully my last 30 pounds will come off before the end of the year!

Hi Tammy,
Yes, there are usually handouts which is nice. This one included what our anatomy looks like now. It was even suggested we give a copy of it to our PCPs for our file since a lot of them don't know either.
Thanks for the support - as of this morning - 139.4lbs and breakfast was 2 hardboiled eggs and about 1/4 c cottage cheese. Water's doing well as well. Day one is usually the easiest mindset wise.
Oh, and yes, basically just protein. It's what I had to do for the 1st 6 weeks post-op, though my protein choices are a lot wider now.
About 2-3 weeks of this and your body goes back into burning ketones, major weight loss. I'm hoping since I only have to lose 4-5 lbs I don't have to go that long to actually lose the weight, but I need to get back out of the habit of snacking, so I'm going to stick to it for the whole 2 weeks and then decide what needs to happen then.
