May is Here - New Goals!!

HIYA!!! How is Everyone?? I was really excited on Friday- the last day of the month no less, and I actually hit my goals!! .. I am now a Century Club Member and I made that and my 12lb goal on 4/28..DAMNeD if I didn't shock myself too, and the next day I went down another pound! I think the consecutive workouts had a LOT to do with it..I usually workout alternate days....SO it is good to set aggressive goals, but also be realistic.. MAY is 4.5 weeks.. so I pick 10lbs and 215 by May 31. I'm eating nuts while I type this, so I may end up nuts! I've also picked up this book and recommend it to everyone - you can even check it out online- its the ABS DIET..it identifies 12 powerfoods that keep you healthy and help you maximize fat loss and build your ABS..its written by the editor of Mens Fitness..not a FAD anything, and surprising, the foods he identifies help fight obesity..and we EAT all these foods already! Like Dairy, legumes, instant oatmeal, spinach & green veggies, WHEY protein..I have 2 of his books and they are very good and chock full of before/after pictures, and how to do exercises at home with weights. He even has an online demo that shows how to perform exercises correctly! Its one of the best interactive sites I've seen. Hi Donna Hummm my goal for this month? Well first im under 200!! (197) But still under it!! for may I to would like to loose 10lbs Ive been doing xtra excersice and plan to do even more. And last try to keep away from the wicked CARBS!!!!! Thats about it for me!! Hope everyone is well and keep up the great work!! We can do it!!!! shreee 285/197/140ish

Hi Sheree! Congrats on Onderland! Fitness and weight are both important . 10lbs = 2lbs a week.. Fruit carbs are good Problem is we all love the munchy kind! I'm just as guilty, I have cajun party mix on my desk, and got into that yesterday..thinking it would fuel my workout, which I never made it ! Hi Donna, Thanks for the info regarding the book and such. I didn't meet my weight goal at all (but I did manage to maintain a the same weight for 3 weeks and didn't gain), but came about 75% of the way on my exercise goal. Therefore - the goal for May is to hit goal - 4 lbs gone; exercise at LEAST 3 times a week, and cut back my snacking to the one protein one I'm allowed. The last one is going to be hard this week as it's my birthday and I know I'm having a chocolate chip cookie as my 'birthday cake' this evening with friends. Dawn 258/139/135

I didn't reach my weight goal, but I came close. So, this month I'll try for 4 lbs also. I'll try to be down to 165 by the end of May. I did do MUCH better last month with my excersise! And I made the century club! The loss is way way slow now, so even if all I do is maintain this month, I'll be ok with that, long as I don't gain! Connie 269/169/163 surgeon's goal/150ish my goal

My next goal is to get to the Century Club. I don't know if I can accomplish that goal by the end of May as I have about 12 pounds to go, but that is the next goal that I am shooting for. LOL, Sherry 276/188/130-140
