Day 2 Exercise

WOW............ It's May already. Can you believe we've been exercising regularly for 2 straight months .........GO US, GO US!!!!! How's everyone doing? I haven't gotten a chance to read all the posts from when I was gone, but I'll be sure to get to it soon. I'm in the midst of returning this computer for a full refund & I ordered 2 new Dells. After today, I'll be on "old faithfull" until the new ones arrive. So bare with me ok? Hope everyone's weekend was as fun as mine. We arrived in Maryland at 3:30 on Thursday. What wonderful weather we had the entire time we were there. The wedding was absolutely beautiful & the reception..... Fa Get a Bout It... The Italian in us shined through & through. I think we totally blew the grooms family away...hehehehehe Let's see exercise wise........ Thursday.....Sat on butt in the car all day so absolutely no exercise then Friday....Got up & was in the exercise room at 5:30 am.... 10 miles on the recumbent bike at level 3.... burned 400 cals Saturday....Wedding Day.... Danced up a storm for about 3 hours at the reception.....WOW....last year I wouldn't have ever been able to do that.... Yeah for me Sunday... We went to Six Flags, America in Baltimore & walked for 7 hours... I even went on rides....I COULD FIT Monday...Repeat of Thursday.... Sitting on my butt driving home... Had beautiful traveling weather that's for sure. WHAT A WEEKEND OF WOW MOMENTS FOR ME..... Dancing without breaking a sweat....looking pretty darn good for the wedding, fitting in the rides at the amusement park...etc etc etc... There was one event that was very bad for me...I'll post that later. Had to do with a bathroom incident (#2)... I NEVER WANT TO EXPERIENCE THAT AGAIN AS LONG AS I LIVE.... Anyway, I gotta go into work this morning so I will post later if I get exercise in today & my current weight. Take care everyone.... Love you all........... I MISSED EVERYONE... Tammy

Good morning, Glad your back and glad you had fun too. Exercise this AM. 30 mins. Going to try for 30 mins this PM. Goal is to exercise 2X per day no matter how little. Pam

I am going to jog one mile this afternoon. I am going to try to change up my exercise routine a little and see what happens. Glad to hear you had a great weekend. Greetings Tammy, Glad to have you back...It's AMAZING how time flies. I didn't have a chance to exercise this morning however I plan to get cranking this evening with my 3.00 mile walk. MAY GOALS: 1. REACH 220 - 7 pounds away from reaching this goal. 2. Walk at least 30 minutes a day every day 3. Protein Drink - twice a day 4. Vitamins daily 5'7" 300/227/160

Hiya! Sounds like you had a BLAST!! Good for you! I haven't been around much lately. Too busy and yesterday I was home sick. I just haven't been feeling good. Not sure what that is all about. I think I need to get my blood work done. I feel realllllly tired and lethargic. And my weight just keeps bouncing up and down like crazy. I weighed in at 183 on Friday. And then today I am back up to 187-188. I just don't understand, actually I do. I have been wanting to eat like crazy after dinner. I don't eat "bad" foods but have been eating sugarfree jello and cool whip, rolled turkey with cream cheese, cheese, popcorn, etc. Not all at once of course. But I just feel like such a failure lately. I know part of the reason this week is because it's almost that TOM. But for a whole month now, I haven't been able to drop a lb without gaining it right back. I have my monthly nutritionist appt in 2 days and I really don't want to report a gain from last month. She thought for sure I would be over 100lbs lost by this time. I don't even want to keep my appt... I have a seriously bad attitude today and I apologize. I am going to walk today at lunchtime. Maybe that will make me feel better. Love ya, Lori

Oh, Lori. I know exactly how you feel. I have days/weeks/months that I just need to pull out my violin and play. I thought I would be so much further along than I am now. I have not even reached 90 pounds yet. WLS is such a rollercoaster ride - physically and emotionally. You went from losing a huge amount of weight in March to teetering in April, but May is a new month. Keep your chin up, girl. You are doing great. HUGS, Sherry

Hey Girl.... Don't get down on yourself. We all seem to have times like you're having. Brush yourself off & go back to the basics. I'm glad you're seeing your nutritionist soon. I'm sure she'll have some good advice for you. It'll be interesting to hear how that goes. Have you measured at all? I bet you're still losing inches. Think about how good you felt when you squeezed in your exercise every day. It sounds like you are under alot of stress at work and remember, exercise relieves stress. If you're not exercising to relieve the stress, you will most likely want to munch. (that's if you're like me....A STRESS EATER)..... Stay strong girl & don't let this get you down. Look at your success this far.......You've done AWESOME & have come sooooo far. There's no reason to beat yourself up over this past month. It's a new month, the weather is improving, you look beautiful, you're wearing such a smaller size in clothes than this time last year. Be proud of how far you've come. Celebrate your Success. Remember, don't let those numbers on the scale dictate how you feel about yourself. I know it's hard, but try to stay off it for a few days. (ya, coming from me...the scale addict ).... At any rate, we love you, Lori. Everyone is entitled to have bad attitudes. Vent as much as you'd like, girl, that's why we're here. ((((HUGS)))) & Tammy

Tammy..Welcome Back!!!! Nice This Cardio stuff really has its perks doesn't it? Last night I was at the gym.. Treadmill- 40 mins 4 laps around the gym track weight training- 1 hour I did make the Century Club while you were gone and reached both goals for April! Glad to hear everything went well, and those WOW moments, they are somethin special! Keep it up!! Hugs, Donna 325/224/145
