Day 22, 23 & 24 Exercise...
Happy Monday everyone....
Another busy weekend. Didn't get any official exercise in. I worked 10 hours on Saturday, then went to a friends to help her install some work programs on her new laptop. Yesterday was more shopping with my girls for my sisters wedding this weekend... I'm soooo excited.
So, quick post today... No exercise yet, but I'm getting ready to hit the pavement. I'll post when I return...
Hope you all had a WONDERFUL weekend. I know it was rainy...yucky weather here..... Oh well, can't ask for nice weather all the time right??? Keep your fingers crossed for nice weather in Maryland this weekend for the weather...so far it's looking good.
Have a great day.......
Tammy
There is also a place in Salem called Big Gals. Its on center or state street. Nice older owners and oodles of clothes all geared towards plus size with a selection of sizes under 12 as well. I love that place!!! You can consign your outgrown clothes there and use the $ earned to buy "down" in your sizes. Big Gals Consignment is the full name, hope it helps, definitley worth the drive!!
I'm back! Our offroad event went great - and we had a BLAST! I walked a ton while we were there, when I wasn't walking around helping with the registration, parking, introducing myself, dinner, raffle, etc, I was walking my bassett hound. I also drove the trails a bit, worked my arms really good! (Our offroad rig doesn't have power steering, and fighting the steering wheel to keep control while rock climbing is a serious work out.) I did fall off the wagon a bit - had too many carbs. However this morning I weighed and while I didn't lose anything, I didn't gain any either! I'm getting pretty tired of this plateau, thinking it may be time to try the plateau buster diet again. *sigh*
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Hello Tammy,
Thanks for keeping us on track. Well I walked on Thursday 3.5 miles and Friday 3.00 miles. I didn't get an opportunity to work out on Saturday due to my mothers wedding. Oh by the way the wedding was beau-ti-ful. I cryed like a big baby
I will have new pictures in the next week or so... anyway I didn't walk on Sunday either due to exhaustion from the wedding my I will be back on track today. Walking after work.
Oh and more good news after eating cake and more cake from the wedding I still manage to lose a pound or two. I am down to 228
300/228/160
I'm so glad that the wedding went good. Can't wait to see the pics. My sisters wedding is this coming weekend. I'm sure I'll cry. I'm soooo excited for her. This is her second marriage & I'm so happy that she's finally happy. Great job walking Thursday & Friday.
Glad to see your scale is moving....
Tammy
Connie...
Sounds like you had a GREAT time..... Outings are so much fun now aren't they????
Do you measure???? I would try measuring because you're not truly on a plateau unless you've not lost weight or inches for over 4 weeks. My sister has stayed around the same weight since the beginning of February, but when we measured in March & April, she lost inches....
I'm not sure if I'm a big fan of that plateau buster diet. Didn't we have this surgery to avoid those things??? Just my thought. It's great if it works for people though.
At any rate......so glad you had a good time...
Keep up the great work
Tammy
I did the plateau buster once and it worked, altho I did decide this time I'm not going 'whole hog' with it. I need to cut out some carbs, and up my water and protein. I think if I do that and keep walking, it may help move that scale. And if not, I'm still really happy with my weight loss and where I am!
I will try measuring, my beginning measurements were lost with a program DH used for me on his laptop, the hard drive crashed and they were gone (told him to write it down too, men don't listen very well sometimes). But I have measured a couple times and it may be time to do it again.
The whole weekend was awesome, I got so many compliments I didn't know what to do with myself! If I lose the last 20 - 25 lbs I want to lose, that'll be GREAT ~ if not, I've already improved my life 10 fold! I love being comfortable with how I look FINALLY. Isn't it wonderful to finally look forward to every day, instead of struggling to deal with each day?
I, too, had Dr. Hong. I had originally decided to go to Dr. Patterson, but like someone else said, her schedule was way too busy and I didn't want to wait an additional couple of months to have her for my surgeon. I had spoken to a couple of people who had had Dr. Hong and liked him so he's the one I chose. I really like him a lot. He will listen patiently to all your questions and you don't feel like you're being rushed out the door--even now that he is so much busier.
I went in for my 18 month check up in February and I told Dr. Hong I would be happy to talk at any of his seminars. He asked me to go to the one in March and I did. I have no problem with telling you that he is great. I don't know anything about Dr. Jan and I never went to Dr. Patterson, except that I did initially attend her seminar. I think you're probably in pretty good hands with any of them. I do think that you need to decide for yourself. I just liked the fact that Dr. Hong had a great bedside manner throughout my time with him.
As far as the psych eval, I found it very intersting. It reflected that I likely had ADD which is the first time that has ever come up, but it certainly explains some things! Anyway, I'm glad I went through the entire process. It was a great learning experience.
Good luck on your decision.
Pam
