Crohns Disease???

I have been looking all over this site (prolly not close enough tho)and haven't seen any place to ask a direct question (without getting lost in the million other questions) I have a friend who is interested in getting WLS but has Crohns and was advised by a Dr to not do the surgery as it could make it worse? Does anyone have any suggestions on this topic for me? Thanks in advance for any help. Diana 267/184/165

Hey Diana. My mother has had Crohn's disease for years. I know what it does to the body and I can see how WLS could pose a hazzard. I had early signs of it before sugery but I was never checked and didn't tell my doctor. but I am fine now. There is no telling what it was, if anything. So I would tell her to see a surgeon and get a second opinion.
