DAY 19 EXERCISE
Happy Hump Day!!!!
Hope everyone is having a great day. Unfortunately, yesterday I did something to my knee while walking... Sooooo, I took the day off of exercise today. It's feeling better today. Only if I twist it, it aches a little... Hmmmm, guess we'll see how it feels later or tomorrow.
How's everyone else's day going????
Get those butts a moving....
Have a wonderful day

Happy Hump Day TOO!!!
That sucks about your knee! You probably just tweaked it from all that exercising! You mad woman you!!!
I walked 3, yes I said 3 miles yesterday! Yippee!!! I just couldn't bring myself to get back to work! It was so nice and the sea air was blowing in my face and smelled sooo good! I felt sooo good afterwards too!
I am going to do the same route today. It takes me about 40 minutes which isn't bad. I walk pretty fast these days! My husband can't keep up! No, we didn't walk last night.... another story for another time...
So yeah, I am pretty proud of myself!
Take care of that knee girl...

Tammy,
Hope your knee feels better fast. I will be running tonight training for that 5K. I just signed up for another one that is on May 7. I may have to walk/run that one we will see how I do.
I am shooting for running a total of 2.75 miles that is 11 laps.. Oh I hope I can do it if I don't run them all count me in for running and walking 12 laps 3 miles. I am also going to do my weight training after then 10 minutes on some other cardio thing at the gym. Maybe that will get the pounds moving.

Life's pretty good. I did not receive the followup care that I should have after the surgery. When I had my surgery back in Jan of 03, I was living in Fort Worth, TX. I knew I was going to be moving back to Oregon right after the surgery but went through with it anyway.
After surgery, the weight started coming off pretty easy and I dropped from 320 down to about 270 in about 4 months. Being 6'4" tall, 270 was pretty comfortable for me so I never went back to see a doctor after the move.
Sometime in early 05, after being stuck at 270ish for about a year and a half, I finally decided to get a post-op exam and my first fill. I didnt go back to the doctor after that until just last week. Luckily he saw me, it was hard enough to find a doctor that would see me the first time after having not done any followup after surgery.
So anyway, I have decided to get serious about losing weight now and have resolved to make *and keep* regular appointments and exercise regularly. We will see how it goes. My second fill was just last week and I got overfilled to the point I couldn't even keep water down. I had to go in yesterday morning and Dr. Hong completely drained the band. I am due to go back in for a refill in about a week and a half.
So how is life for you post WLS? I hope you have found success and are enjoying a much healthier lifestyle.
good for you in deciding to get back on track with regular appts and all. you never know, we might run into each other at Dr Hong's office sometime! He's doing my Bypass on may 2nd. i'm 5'9" and weigh about 310. was at 330 when i started the process last fall. i have been eating well and exercising leading up to the surgery, and look forward to a new lifestyle. i know it will not be an easy road, but a much better road than i was on!
power to you!
