WEEK 3 TO GOAL - WHERE IS EVERYONE??
Michelle -
I love to admire myself in the mirror too, isn't that funny? How we went from denial (that's not really me) or just admired ourselves from the waist up?
It goes along way to changing us internally, but also how we view ourselves and the world now..its a happier place.
Don't beat yourself up with the weight loss- you are probably losing inches and not seeing it..I recommend that you do some "interval " training to shake up your program.. your body gets used to your routine and coasts along..it needs a new challenge, a change up..so professional trainers say to do whats called interval workouts - and I do this all the time on a treadmill. For example:
Warm up for 5 mins at a regular pace- then pick your regular level - say
3% incline/2.8 speed, do that for a minute, then for the next 2 mins
increase your inlcine to 4% & 3.0 speed/ after that go back down to 3% & 2.8 for another 2 mins, then pick a higher interval like 5% & 2.8 for 2 mins, etc and you do that for the next 25 mins. I personally like variety and get bored easily, so I move my incline from 3% all the way up to 9%
and I adjust the speed- so Im not falling off the machine- but it helps me
get past days where the scale doesnt budge.
Hope that helps -

Sorry I didn't respond last week - was having health probs.
I gained back what I'd lost towards my goal while I was dealing with said health probs. So I'm back at 177 and still have 10 to go by the end of this month. I don't see that happening now. Maybe I'll lose a couple of lbs tho! I'd given up completely on the idea of losing anymore weight, but have decided to keep on working towards making my goal eventually.

Hi Mrs G
Your healthy self comes first- weight loss second. You cannot be sick and think you are sticking to diet.. Even though we all think we are super women Take care of you first- and you can deal with losing weight later..
You can reset your focus and your goal for next month..or make it a long term goal to be more conditioned and more fit and continue with your exercise..the less we exercise, the easier it is to lose some of our toning..and it slows down our metabolism..then makes it easier to gain weight back..
so never give up with your fitness goals.. keep fit = good health!

Hi Donna,
I know I'm late getting to post this but we have had a great week at work! My boss works on commission and we had almost $750,000 dollars come in the door this week. That is so exciting for us because of his accident last July. We've been working hard to get his numbers up and since he has been back our 4 month average is exceed expectation. With this added to the mix, we will continue this trend and not have to worry about him loosing his job because he is profitable. There was a big question about this for the past four months. So needless to say, I've been extremely busy but loving it because it means that this great man I work for is doing so well!
Goals so far...
1. Loose 10 lbs by goal...6 down and 4 to go Whohoo!! I weighed in this morning at 208 and my BMI is 39.3 (unbelieveable)...I didn't think I'd ever break the stall.
2. Increase water...Well, this is going great. I believe that I am past my goal and that it has gotten easier to drink liquids. That's a big plus.
3. Increase excerise...This is going much better for me. I took your advice and excerise before I want to do something I really like. I have increased my excerise by 3 days a week more then before which was 0 to 1 day a week. I need to work more on it, but I am excited that I have started.
4. I have been emotional eating a little bit more this past week. When I went off the plateau buster diet, my mind was in a funk. I am back on track and will work really hard on this goal for this week.
5. Finish my blanket project. That is completed, so I need a new goal.
Well, the new goal is to call and ask a gentlemen friend out this week. I have been struggling with this thought for quite some time now and I finally decided that now is the time. He is such a great person and I don't want to miss an opportunity to get to know him better.
Life is good!! and I feel fantastic. I have people telling me all the time how skinny I look. I still don't see it. I see myself as the same from my Christmas photo, but I had a friend tell me Thursday that I've lost a lot of weight since Christmas. I need to get my 8 month pic up on the site. That usually helps me to visualize what has happened. Maybe I need to make it a goal to see what others see instead of what I am percieving.
Have a great rest of the week and a happy Easter!
