WEEK 3 TO GOAL - WHERE IS EVERYONE??

Hello Everyone!!!! How are we all doing? WELL!! I had a WOW moment over the weekend.. I went to Target looking for black pants- and found them- in a classic fit- they are sateen - chinos type - and I tried them on and went- OMG!! I look good! THEN I tried on size 18 jeans, shocked they FIT!! and then I tried on this Denim skirt I wanted- which only went up to sz 18..AND IT FIT!! OMG!! And you had to imagine- doing this with a slight tummy burn (from tanning) and I was just about around in the fitting room..I can't believe how MUCH I don't mind being in there now! AND THEN I tried on a wrap style black jersey dress in XL- and not only did it fit- I was Shocked! I looked GOOD! .. I could not stop looking at myself And actually I think I have to return it for a size Large!! I am going to have to take pictures..Last night I had a date and I think I looked absolutely great. I just could not believe its ME!! OK!!! now on to goal posting... Well, as I said I kind of had a little burn doing some indoor tanning- and this curtailed my working out over the weekend..then yesterday was my son's 21 birthday (shhh Im not really THAT old) I HAVE been sticking to my regimen of protein daily- actually I cook up 42 oz of protien shake- and drink it all day- by the end of the day I add another bottle of Propel and I met my water for the day! I am heading back to the gym tonight..but I have to say- I really missed the exercise time- and I noticed I was more conscious of calories- not working out- but I watched my intake...have not been on a scale in a few days..Im waiting till Saturday- which is my 8 month anniversary..so I'm hitting the exercise deck tonight..who else is working out with me?? Hey Donna.... Wow.... great job on the new clothes... I LOVE the fitting rooms now... Funny.....the place I absolutely dreaded this time last year. I must say, though, that I'm having a hard time finding something to wear to my sisters wedding the end of this month. My arms are not real attractive so sleeveless & cap sleeves are definately out. Me & my girls are going this weekend to look again. I think something in 3/4 length sleeves will work. Her wedding is in Maryland so I can't get anything too warm. Anyway, can you believe we'll be 8 months out this Saturday (my surgery twin )??? Time sure is flying. My goals.......... Hmmmm, still teetering around 197.5 & 199.... still hoping to be at 195 by the end of this month. Exercise is going great. Not sure if I've surpassed last month yet or not. Gotta check on that. My protein has been going good, now that I've gotten some more drinks... All & all..........so far.....doing GREAT... Haven't exercised yet today, but it's beautiful outside, think I will be taking a stroll later if I have time... Still pluggin with OT for work. Tammy

Hey My surgical sister!! The 'bolero" style jacket is the rage along with dresses now- why don't you look for that style or a bolero style jacket you can add to a great looking dress? They look great in crocheted material, or even black lace.or what a fake fur shoulder wrap..from www.fabulousfur.com Or even a sequin type shawl you could wear..Have you looked at Spiegel online? They have some great looking dresses and jackets..I have been spending like crazy on clothes..LOL..what a surprise! It's SO hard NOT to want to, because we never FIT IN like normal people.. I couldn't believe buying a Denim skirt for $12.00!! I had just bought my last pair of pants at Lane Bryant- at 22.00..and am looking for a white pair of Capris..can you imagine wearing white a year ago? And I'm looking at these cute boy cut shorts- in terrycloth- in Victoria's Secrets.. I think I will have more wardrobe than time to wear it all! & I am taking off the whole week after Memorial Day- whether I go to Vegas or not (maybe I will go for my birthday in July) I am going to the Beach!!! and get tanner!! And just enjoy my summer!! OK!! I guess you could call these some of my goals!! Donna 325/229/145 P.S. Wow Donna! That is so awesome! I love going to the department stores just to try on clothes! I used to HATE trying on clothes with a passion. Now I love it! I am 1lb over my goal for April as far as my weightloss. But it's my TOM right now so I expect it to go back down after this week. My goal for April was to be 186lbs by the 28th. I believe that I will still make that since I am sitting at 187 right at this moment. I still haven't met my goal of upping my walking to 3 miles a day. I am hoping to start that next week. Don't feel like walking much right now. I think this is the worse period I have had since surgery! ugh! But I am still very determined to meet my goals and to do the best I can to keep motivated and on the right track! I am 47lbs from my ultimate goal of 140. I CAN DO IT! Lori 281/187/140? I might be ok with 150, who knows!

Lori - You are still in my book!! We are doing a WLS 3 mile walk next month..I guess I will have to do that walk for you!! LOL Then you will say- gee if Donna can do it, I better get my butt in gear! As far as TOM goes, take a load off yourself and do light exercise..we push ourselves- and there are times when its physically impossible- and I believe its one of those times..with my TOM- my concentration goes AWOL..even with a trainer- my focus was short circuited - I just know I have limited ability at that time- and work with it- and get through it- it passes. So keep that in mind..we are human..so keep up what you are doing and you will get where you wanna be. DONNA 325/229/145

Hi Ny Babe, CONGRATS on your Wow moment! LETS CELEBRATE Yes I'm on that train with you.... I just made it back from working out on my lunch - 30 mins elliptical cycle and 15 mins weights. Oh by the way I'm having my 30 grams of protien right now! later today I will do my 3.5 mile walk. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK DONNA - You're really working that tool.

Forgot to post my goal. I kinda got carried away for a moment. ? To be at 220 by the end of this month ? Exercise at least twice a day ? Get in at least 2 protein shakes daily

Lady J!! Thank you for the support!! NOW I have to return the size 20 capris I bought..the pair Im wearing- from last year- brand new- is BIG!! LOL I had a hard time working out - concentration wize- last night- getting back to it after 3 days off- and i just had to keep refocusing and keep going..its so EASY to quit and say- and give in- but thats where the athlete, thats where the successful person digs in and continues, and what I said to myself was "I may not like this now..but in 6 mos my legs are gonna love me!! 6 mos from now, my legs are going to look so HOT!! " So should you ever get stuck, know you are not alone, and we are working out right alongside you.. Quitting is never an option! So keep up the good work, your balanced program will work and continue to post with us! You will inspire me to workout more often!! DONNA 325/229/145

Congratulations on you Wow moment! I agree clothes shopping is so much fun! But don't get carried away-- they won't fit for long! Here are my original goals: *lose 12 lbs which will bring me to 225 *watch those evil carbs and control my salt intake (carbs and salt go together for me) * increase my walking on the days I don't go to the gym * work on getting in more water * continue to admire my self every time I see a mirror! The only one I'm having any success with is the last one! I've hit a major plateau, I've only lost 4 lbs since we started this and that was the first week or so. I'm seriously considering Plateau Busters next week, I just don't want to do it before Easter. I will make this goal! But I have to myself! Michele T
