8 months out today..TOP 10 List of things of you have accomplished since surgery
It's unreal how much my life has changed in the last 8 months. People say that they don't recognize the person I used to be, not only in pictures..i.e. weight loss, but in personality as well. The tool, surgery has given me, has helped me lose the weight, but it has also given me a new lease on life in general, so I thought I would make a TOP TEN list of things I can and have done since surgery that I never thought I would do/or be able to do. Please add any things you can do now that you never thought you would in your replys, we have all had those amzing, wow, I did it times.
1. Cross my legs.
2. Fit into "normal" clothing, I am in a size 8..still can't believe it.
3. Run a mile, without needing EMS to be called.
4. Hearing the words beautiful, tiny, looking good, in the same
sentence as my name.
5. I went rock climbing on Sunday, something I never thought I would
be able to do.
6. Sit in a booth, chair, car seat, without worrying about fit.
7. Begin dating again...let's just say I have been terminally single for
farrr tooo long...lol
8. Had someone actually worry I was getting TOO skinny, that was a
new experience..hehehe.
9. Actually enjoy getting pictures taken, I was ALWAYS the one behind
the camera, pre-op
10. Get a full night's sleep without waking up in the middle in pain, or
without having trouble breathing.
Now that's my top ten list, what are yours?

Hi Traci,
This is a great idea for a post. A lot of your top ten I'll probably be duplicating.
1. Learning karate - something that didn't even interest me before.
2. Getting a tattoo
3. Wearing a size 6 (even had a pair of size 4 jeans fit!) when I was shooting for a size 10.
4. Having folks being surprised when I say I'm not at goal yet.
5. Actually starting to get tired of people (who see me all the time) acting so surprised at how much weight I've lost.
6. Shoveling snow for 2 hours and only feeling good about how it looked, not feeling like I was going to die.
7. Being disappointed that my walk only took a half hour.
8. Missing exercising.
9. Being content with just 1 bite of cheesecake.
10. Being happy enough with myself that I don't care if no one wants to date me.

Hey Dawn,
Thanks for replying. I am in shock, a size 6 or 4, totally jealous..lol. Ditto on being content with just the one bite of dessert, never thought that would happen either. I am also terminally single, but I am also finally in such a great place emotionally that I don't care either. I am completely enjoying life and too busy to even notice that I don't have a significant other. I am meeting new people and getting more male attention, but I am think that also has a lot to do with how I feel about myself inside. I am so much more confident and self-assured. I don't give off the desperate vibes anymore. If I meet someone great, awesome, but if I don't, being single has never been more fun. Singles unite..lol. Take care and congrats on being so close to goal.
