Kim You're welcome.... So glad this made you feel better. I'm happy that you've taken everything to heart & more importantly, soooo glad you are getting your vitamins. I post daily (Look for Day 4, Day 5 Exercise etc)... It's a great way to be accountable to everyone on exercise. I create the post whether I get my exercise in that day or not. Also, everyone will post whether they exercise or not. It's nice to check in with everyone daily.... We're here for you...ALWAYS... Take Care & Post often Tammy

Hi KIM ((((( HUGS ))))) I'm so glad we made a difference for you..It made my eyes swell a bit.. Please don't be like the woman on the NY board- that busted her surgery staples 3 times and died.. She was eating pizza and soda.. One of the NY post-ops met her while she was also in the hospital (for other reasons).. the girl had expanded her stomach- not once- and had it restapled- but twice- and the third time- she had eaten 3 slices of pizza and a can of soda. So I am proud of you, for summoning all your courage and starting again. As Howie Mandel says, Deal Or No Deal? You made the right choice and I'm glad we're here to help you! AND i agree with Dawn- when was the last time you successfully lost 80lbs? I thought so!! Tammy has a daily post and I do a weekly one for goals- just log in- let us know how you are doing..day to day- for exercise- even if its a short walk- and in my postings- how you are doing with goal setting or not meeting goals.. April 28 is the month end for our goals.. your goal for the rest of the month- shouldn't be about weight loss- more like behavior modification - so set some small goals- like getting in 60gms protein/ daily / 64oz water daily / 2 healthy snacks.. Gotta make baby steps before you can run.. Donna

Hi Kim, First of all, you've lost 80 pounds so far. That is right where my weight loss is at too. I'm down 82 lbs. Yes, it has been frustrating this month, but it is still a great amount of weight to loose. Secondly, stop and take a deep breath. Think about why you are sabbotaging yourself. I had to do the same thing 2weeks ago. For me it is being afraid of the change at times. My comfort zone is being pushed due to compliments and new attention from men. That's new and scary for me. What I did was go back to the basics, well, even more then that. I did the plateau buster diet for 10 days and really committed to it. I feel like I am back on track. You can find it by going a few pages of posts ahead on this message board. You commit to eating 5 meals a day of 3 oz of protein and only what is on the list. If it isn't on the list, you don't eat it. Commit to drinking 2 quarts (64 oz) of liquid every day. Excerise 30 minutes a day (if you are able). Vitamins and minerals everyday!!! And supplement with 45 g of protein shakes or bars each day. It helped me greatly and I didn't want to snack inbetween because I was full. The list gives you what proteins you can eat. Almost any kind of protien is on there, even peanut butter...but no crakers. I just had it on a spoon just before bed on a couple of evenings. I have continued to eat mostly protein, but the diet just ended Wednesday. Hope this will help you get back on track too. It's not too late to change, but you also have to figure out why you are doing what you do. Dr. Phil McGraw says, "You cannot change what you do not acknowledge." Look at why you are doing this and you can change it!! Lori 293/211/135/130

Kim, I've reposted the diet here for you so you don't have to go looking for it. I also posted it for all of us so that anyone who is looking to get refocused can! Good luck, Lori 293/211/135/130 Here is a copy of the diet to jump start you if you have hit a plateau. HOW TO BREAK A PLATEAU #1 - Do this for 10 days to break a plateau #2 - Drink 2 quarts of water a day #3 - You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day #4 - You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods, 5x a day beef pork chicken turkey lamb fish eggs low fat cheese cottage cheese plain yogurt or artificially sweetened (?) peanut butter beans/legumes You may also have: sugar free popsicles tea or coffee sugar free soda sugar free jello broths/bullion (sp?) crystal light drinks #5 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!! #6 - Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise daily

Hi Kim, How can you say you're a failure with 80 lbs gone?! Can you think of any other time you were that successful? Everyone has just about summed it up. You know the issues; you know you want to change and everyone has given you TERRIFIC ideas. I'm going to add just one more... Find a copy of "The Success Habits of Weight-Loss Surgery Patients" http://www.bariatricsupportcenter.com/index.php?module=BSCIproducts&func=view&pid=5&menu=1 It talks about the 6 habits all 'successful' folks and FYI the first step that usually starts the offtrack behavior is not taking your vitamins. Consider the book a back-to-basics bible. It reads quickly and I hope to see you on the exercise and/or goal posts. Oh, notice I put 'successful' in quotes. We all, myself included, need to decide what makes us successful. Is it surviving the surgery, becoming a certain size or weight, or is it that we've taken control of our lives to become healthier and happier individuals? Dawn 258/140/135

Hi Kim, I feel the same way as you do sometimes, but look at how far you have come. I haven't taken my vitamins like I'm suppose to, or have made the best choices, but let us make a promise to ourselves to try harder and make a effort to do the right thing. I wish that I could be were you are. But I'm not giving up and don't you give up either. So many people are rooting for us to succeed. SO LETS GO GIRL!!!!!!!!! LETS DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
