Prayer Request for those of you who pray!!

Hi All, For any of you who pray, I and mine really need it at the moment. I'm here at work trying to get substitute plans ready for an entire week as my sister and I have to head to southern California tomorrow am. Our dad had a stroke Sat. am and though we thought he was stable and I could wait for a week and head down during spring break... he's not stable. He's diabetic, high blood pressure, high cholesteral (sp?), slight emphasema (sp? - hey, I teach, but I don't spell ), over weight, and smokes! Add to all of this, tests have found his carotid arteries are blocked and his blood sugar is over 500. Prayers for him and the docs and for our step-mom. Also, it's raining and I have to drive almost 9 hours. Prayers for safe travel. To add insult to injury yesterday, my best friend - known each other for over 20 yrs - had her husband of 22 yrs tell her he doesn't love her anymore and isn't sure if he wants to stick around. So prayer for that. Oh, please also pray that I stick to program and find a way to exercise while I'm down there. Hopefully this doesn't offend, but we've been there for each other for 8 months and a lot of you feel like friends so I thought I'd ask. Dawn

Oh Dawn..I read this late today..I will definitely keep your family in prayers may the Good Lord bless your dad and his medical team, with grace and a steady path to recovery..and for you a safe passage all the way through..and don't worry about exercise..your plate is full my dear.. Hi Dawn... I missed getting on line much this weekend. It was so pretty weatherwise...I just want you to know that I have you, your family, and your friend in my thoughts and prayers and I am sending positive thoughts your way. Dawn! I'm very sorry to hear about you Dad. I'm not a "praying kind", but I will defenetly be thinking about your father and your friend too. I hope your Dad health stabilizes and he's on his way to recovery soon. I went through "Mom had a stroke" situtation a few years back, and it's tough, but with modern medicine there is so much possible now. And I hope your friend has lots of strength and support and is able to come out of her family problems with as least pain and loss as possible. Wishing you, your family and your friend all the best.
