I am exercising my butt off..drinking my water..gettin in my protein..dont know what else i can do. I feel like i can eat like a horse now and i think my pouch has been stretched out. Hi - I hope it isn't over. I had surgery 8/22, and I am in the same boat. I am not eating more than I should at meals, but I have been snacking a little (healthy snax, but snax, none the less). I have gotten myself back on the wagon. I have been stuck between 178 and 174 for a month now. I think our bodies are just catching up. After all, we are only 7 mos. out! I, too, am exercising, getting in the protein and water. I think our bodies are just a little slow to catch up. And, anyway, I am already lighter than the nurse said I would be. Only 20 lbs to my personal goal of 155 (not bad from 260!). Hang in there - we will be fine!
Hugs,
Laura
Hi Judy,
Seems like the weight loss has slowed for alot of us. Have you been doing your measurements? That's what always perks me up on a stall. Even though I'm not losing weight, I'm losing inches. Sounds like you're doing what you're supposed to. Try writing down what you eat, could be you're eating the wrong foods.
It's not over.... Not to mention, look at your success thus far... Could you have done that in 7 months without wls??? I know for sure I couldn't have.
Keep your chin up & come & vent any time. It sure helps me.
Tammy
Hi Judy
You and I have the same surgery date....
I have been thinking the same thing...I'm very happy with my loss 120 but still have more to go and hope its not the end.
Have you ever gone to Fitday.com..(its free to sign up)..its a web site where you can list the food you eat durning the day and it will show you the calories and protein and carb counts. You may not have eatten as much as you think.
How many calories do you eat a day? I tried to keep it between 700-800, my Dr agrees w/this amount.
Hang in there
Priscilla
My weight loss is slow as well. It seems that I was the first on the board to hit a major stall in which I did not lose weight or inches. This occurred from November 24 to December 24 (3 months out) and again from January 24 to February 24 (5 months out). I exercise almost everyday. I drink my water and take my vitamins. I have no problem getting in the protein. I think my problem is snacking. I still do not make wise decisions sometimes in this area. This was my main problem before surgery as well. I recognize this and I am doing my best to overcome this problem. It is still a battle for each of us. No matter what the naysayers may say. This is not an easy way out. If anything, it exposes the "little nasties" (bad habits) in our lives. You are doing great. Just keep up what you know and work on your weak points. Your weight loss will kick back in.

Hi Judy!
I think all of us have been exactly where you are. I know I seemed to stall from Nov-Jan. But looking back, I was dropping inches. This month I have had a phenomenal month, but then again I have been sick for 2 weeks. I think it's just your body adjusting to the weightloss and shrinking up the skin etc. I go through that about ever other month. Lose weight, lose inches, lose weight, lose inches. I have accepted that that is the way my body works. It sounds like you are doing exactly what you should be doing. Give it time. You are NOT done losing.
I think we can all eat more at this point. I know I can put at least a cup or more of certain foods into my pouch. Other things I can't. But I don't think my pouch is stretched. Of course it is probably bigger than right after surgery but that is normal.
Don't give up Judy! Keep posting here with us! And check out our daily exercise post! It is a great way of keeping motivated!

Hey Judy~
Well we have now come out of our "honeymoon period", the first six months, when we can lose weight faster. Mine has drastically slowed down, but I am still losing inches, I can tell from clothes. As long as you are losing inches, the rest will come. Remember too, muscle weighs more than fat! So, your muscle mass may have increased. If you are at a true "plateau" you do not lose inches or weight for at least one month. I have a plateau buster I can email you if you would like.
Take care and Blessings your way!
Nancy
10 days I would have agreed with you that it's over. I only lost 5 lbs last month, 7 lbs the month before that. I was thinking that if I manage to continue to lose 1 lb a week, it would take me another 18 months to reach some sort of goal.
Finally, this week, I've lost 3 lbs. I may even see onederland before too long. I'm crossing my fingers this trend continues.

Hello Judy!
You are -132lbs! I read your bio and look how far you came from your wedding picture to your current weight! Don't feel bad because you have stalled! Your body is just adjusting itself.
We are surgery sisters- you- me - Tammy, all from 8/15.. And you were actually heavier than me- by 8lbs- so I should be feeling LOL!
Its my opinion, that the more we exercise- the more we need to fuel our bodies- so if you are getting under/around 1000 cals a day- bump it up a few hundred- eat peanut butter- get an extra shake in- keep your activity level where it is- just do some fast "intervals" on the treadmill between your regular workout- and you will notice the change.
