Hey Girlie Girls! It is good to be back on the board. I moved offices at work last week and didn't have access to the computer during the days. I make it a point not to get on the computer at home. I need to spend as much time as possible with my husband and boys. Be assured though, I was working my tail off. I posted last on Tuesday. I unloaded and moved what seemed to be thousands of boxes on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for 12 hours straight each day. Whoever said that Federal Employees do not work needs to sit in my desk for a couple of weeks. I was "too pooped to party" on Saturday and did not do any physical activity. I walked 2 1/2 miles yesterday and I will go for my normal 3-4 miles this afternoon. My weight fluctuates from 192-196. It is 196 today. I officialy bought my first size 13-14 jeans last week. They are not even tight. I have always measured myself, so I compared my measurements from when I weighed the same weight pre-wls and post-wls. My measurements are a lot smaller than before the surgery. Isn't that amazing? I wonder if it is because we are loosing muscle? I am also getting a good bit of attention from men now. It makes me uncomfortable as I am happily married. Missed You All, Sherry 276/196/130-140

Size 13-14 .......... GOOD FOR YOU...... It is true how this time around our sizes are so different. Even at this weight in the past, I couldn't get below a 18 - 20.... Good for you Glad you're back girl. Hey you deserve the attention. Doesn't mean you have to act on anything. Accept the compliments...they're great morale boosters. Tammy

We have done PHENOMENAL this month! ALL of us! I actually went hiking for 2 hours yesterday and it felt great. Unfortunately, I am still quite sick with this stupid cold. Now I have a cough. Hopefully I am on the mend though this week. I am sick of being sick! The good news is that I am down 2 more lbs! I am weighing in at 190! I can't believe it. I am shocked that my total weight loss for the month so far is 14lbs! I truly believe that all the exercising has done this for me. Well, that and being sick...ugh. But I think it's mostly the exercise. So Donna, I am 4 lbs away from my April 28th goal! I think that I won't change it, I will just surpass it! I agree with you Tammy. If I hadn't been held accountable with our exercise post, I never would have kept it up and tried so hard to stick with it. Thanks!!!! Here's to a healthy and exercise filled week!!! Lori 281/190/140 50lbs to goal!

Great job, Lori. You are just shrinking away. I am curious as to what you eat. Do you eat any carbs at all? LOL, Sherry

Hi Sherry! Yes I do eat carbs. I try and keep them about 50 grams or less a day. I always do protein first. I always have a veggie with my meat. When I make my family dinner it's ALWAYS meat, veggie, starch. I eat the meat and veggies and sometimes a little starch but not much. Like a spoonful of rice or a piece of potato. I eat fruit, i.e. oranges, apples, a banana once in a while. Yeah they have sugar in them, but it's natural sugar and I need the fiber they provide. I eat Lean Cuisine or South Beach meals for lunch. I get the ones with the lowest calories and lowest carbs. I eat yogurt for breakfast when I eat breakfast. I am not a big breakfast eater. I usually have my 24oz non-fat, sugar-free hazelnut latte every morning on my way to work. And yes, I do count that towards my fluids per my nutritionist. She told me I could count it. But I always get in about 72 oz of fluids (decaf herbal tea, water). My calories range from about 5-900 a day. Usually right around 800. I think that about covers it! Lori

Yeah I know Tammy! I can't hardly believe it myself! I am back up to 192 today but I will take that over 200+ anyday! I really think it's because I have been sick. I am feeling about 50% better today amazingly! But even if I stay at 192 until the end of the month... it's still a 12 lbs loss for me this month! Lori 281/192/140

Hi All, I haven't been a regular poster--life is just way too busy as you all know. Today I hit a major exercise goal. I've been swimming 3/4 mile 3 or 4 x a week. Today I pushed and made it a whole mile! I haven't done that in at least 10 years! The last 100 yards were killers but I did it! Woo hoo! The scale has not been moving since about the first of the year but I have gone down 2 sizes. It has finally started moving again. I am under 150 now! The scale at the YMCA where I swim is one of those old fashioned ones with the weights that you move on 50 pound intervals. I got to put the big weight on 100 today! Mary 256- top weight 243 - surgery weight 149.5- today 135- 140 goal range
