OMG, I thought my hubby was gonna kill me. My 15 1/2 year old daughter and I went and got our belly buttons pierced! It looks soooo cute...on her! Mine is not as cute as hers but I LOVE IT! I still can't believe I did it. I am almost 40 years old! I know that I will eventually have a tummy tuck and will have to re-pierce it if I want to keep it. But for now.... I feel so cute! And YOUNG! I also started tanning last week too. I think I am going through a midlife crisis or something! sheesh! I love the new me! I gave this to myself as a present for getting my weight below 200 for the first time in 12 years! I still can't believe how far I have come in just 7 short months. What a difference! Have an AWESOME day everyone! Happy First Day of Spring! Lori

LORI!! My son will have that heart attack, if I do it..I keep saying Im going to get my first tatoo- and my 50th bday is this July..so Im thinking.. it has to be something I like..and I keep changing what I like..LOL.. I think when I get down to a weight lower than 200 I will do that too..by the time Im done- my son (21 next month) will have seen me through so many changes.. that when he does get married- there will be nothing his wife can do or say- that he has not seen or heard already! I mean everything from nails, to hairpieces, to shopping and going through my closet at midnite and having a mini fashion show.. no kidding.. I feel like Im 16 again - can you imagine if we all got togetber and went shopping or got our bb pieced together? LOL we'd be a cult! I have so much clothes for summer- and I can't wait to wear them..and I just ordered a bathing suit from Victoria's Secrets..It will be my gift to myself for when I hit my goal.. so keep up the great work and isn't it fun being a girl again? Hugs, Donna

It is SOOOOO much fun being a girl again! I think being heavy for most of my adult life robbed me of being girly. I just didn't feel it when I was so overweight. Just when I thought I looked halfway decent, I heard a fat comment... It just sucked the wind right outta my sails. But now, I feel so good about myself, I don't care what other people think! Lori

Hi Lori, I think you nailed it! "It is SOOOOO much fun being a girl again!" I couldn't put my finger on how I was feeling - getting my 1st tattoo last month, buying jackets, heels, dressy dress, etc. The clothes are nothing like I've been wearing for the last 8-10 years and I LOVE dressing up for work. Sorry to hear about the rude & clueless individual. Oh! I'd get my upper ear pierced, but I already tried that when I turned 40 - twice - but it wouldn't heal, so I guess that's not an option. Hey Dawn! About the upper ear.... mine took over a year to heal but it did finally. Now it won't close up even after months of not wearing an earring in it. My biggest problem was being able to sleep with an earring in. So I always take it out and forget to put it back! I haven't found an earring I can leave in it that is also comfortable to sleep in! I LOVE dressing up too! I find that I am leaning towards the silky lacy type of tops instead of the biggest longest butt covering top I can find! And I love wearing JEANS! I wish I could wear them to work but I can only get away with that a couple of times a week. Now I have been buying capris and looking at buying skirts for the first time in my life! There are such cute clothes out but I have to refrain from buying too many since I am still losing weight. Lori 281/194/140

You go girl! I had mine done when I was a size 18 (a few years ago) and now I'm glad I kept it even through my biggest size. It's starting to look a lot cuter now that I've lost some weight! Congrats on onederland! Happy Spring! Connie 269/177/163 surgeon's goal/150 my goal

Thanks Connie! I don't think it looks THAT cute on me yet... but I started tanning and hopefully it will look cuter as I lose more weight! Lori

How fun! You deserve to do something special for YOU! It's especially fun that you did it with your daughter, I bet she is lovin you! Mom alert! I'm 10 pounds away from getting my "reward". I'm gonna get a small tattoo with my friends when I lose 100 pounds, which will also put me under 200 as well. I can't wait. I want a small tatto first and then once I'm at my goal weight, I plan on getting a larger tattoo on my shoulder blade. I'm so excited! -Lynn Lap RNY 8-16-05 297/207/140
