Is anyone else having this problem? I thought it only went from months 3-6. Its been 7 months for me. Please help. And yes I'm getting in all protein. Thanks, Kristin

I'm still losing a lot also, I wear it in a bun most of the time now it's getting so thin. I hope it stops soon, I'm running out of hair!

My hair loss has slowed tremendously. It's almost non existant now...but haven't grown back what I've lost yet. I was getting in the required amount of protein, but with malabsorption of it, it just wasn't enough for me. I started adding a vial of profect a day (25g of extra protein in the form of a liquid that is almost 100% absorbed) and it was a miraculous help. To check out profect add www in front of this: protica.com/affiliate/aw~B~2~A~187~Task~Click.asp They have a 4 pack you can try all the flavors and see if you like it. Try using PR15 at checkout, it may save you 15% off your order. As my surgeon says "I have never seen a bald post-op gastric bypass patient walk into my office unless they came into the O.R. already bald" It will get better, I promise =) Pamela

My surgery was 8/2 and my hair is still coming out. Not as much but it's still more than normal.

Hi Kristen, Yup, I still have to clean the drain in the shower for the water to go down. Doesn't seem like it's as much, but still a significant amount. Mine started to fall out in November & is ongoing. I'm sure it will stop sooner or later. My surgeon said the same thing.... Never had a post op that went bald... Keep you chin up...it'll get better I'm sure Tammy

I am still have some hair loss, but nothing compared to months 4-6. I actually have a lot of new hair growth, about 1/2" long and just long enough to make me look like I have a bad case of the frizzies. But, I am so happy to have it growing back in as I lost a lot of hair!!

I got lucky, I never lost more than your average daily hair loss. My NP said that if I haven't lost any by now, I most likely will never have any hair loss. Perhaps trying upping your protein. Even though you are getting it all in, your body may be used to that. I know sometimes it's hard getting in a another bite, but it may be worth a shot.

I am still losing hair like a maniac too. Totally sucks. It is so thin now, not really noticeable to the outside world, but to try and make a ponytail is comparable to that of a 5 year old. Not cute on a middle-aged non-hottie (but workin' on it!) I too am getting all of my protein, all vitamins. I exercise, get all my fluids, use Nioxin shampoo/conditioner. Nothing seems to help. I am at my wits end, but there does not seem to be anything I can do about it. Cutting it shorter helped, but I don't want to go much shorter! My last resort will be to cut a whole bunch off (it is about 2 inch below my shoulders right now). It will help it to look a little fuller, maybe until it grows back? My hairdresser knows how much I am in despair over the issue - she insists that I am not losing any shocking amounts. For me, the amount is still shocking and I do not believe I can sustain this rate (I never lost this much hair before surgery, even if the experts insist that 150 hairs a day is "normal" - let them lose that much EVERY day and see what they think then). She also said she sees new growth and that it is a promising sign. I can only take her word for it, as I clean my drain and comb each morning. Wahhhh!
