Ok, so I've responded to a zillion of these posts, guess it's my turn to vent now.... As you all know, I've been exercising my butt off this past week & the scale didn't budge. WELL, today it moved....BUT THE WRONG WAY....uuuugggghhhhhh I was 208 this morning (been teetering between 204.5 & 206)... What the heck I say???? Maybe my body is rearing up for big loss.... I don't know Anyway, today I just want to throw that scale out the window This process can get sooooo frustrating some times. I know it will move again soon. Just gotta keep my butt off the scale...hehehehe Either way, I will continue to exercise & follow the rules...my body is bound to catch up sooner or later. Have a great day Tammy 291/284/208 /145

I posted in February about the same thing. I was working out seven days a week and I gained five pounds. I upped my calories and lost weight. Sherry 276/199/130-140

Oh Miss Tammy! I totally feel your pain. I just know that I am back up to 200 this AM (I forgot to jump on the scale). I can feel it. But it's my own fault. I ate popcorn last night. I find that if I have anything with a higher salt content, I blow up like a balloon! I have gained 5 lbs overnight from water retention! Also, I know you have heard this many many times before but, muscle weighs more than fat! You are probably building muscle with all that exercise! I would just stay off the scale for a few days and see what happens. That is what I intend to do. And I will stay away from the stupid popcorn! Honey, you WILL get this weight off. It's just a matter of time. And like you said, I bet you are in for a big loss soon. Hugs to you! {{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} Lori

Thanks to everyone I've had a few hours to cool down... I know that, in time, it will go down again..... You girls are the greatest. I couldn't imagine going through this process without my surgery sisters...... Tammy

Hi Tammy, I'm with ya in the exercise challenge so I know that you're exercising like crazy so don't worry. Your body doesn't want to give up it's precious fat, but it's bound to sooner or later! Plus, you probably have gained some muscle mass from all your workouts! Don't worry. You are doing everything right and the scale WILL move soon! -Lynn Lap RNY 8-16-05 297/211/140

Okay Tammy, Don't freak. Last month I made myself a pack. I wanted to work out for 30 days straight a minimum of 30 minutes a day. I was able to workout 29 out of 31 days. I ran, elliptical, tae kwon do and walking. I lost 7lbs, but I dropped an entire size. It was like overnight I was a size smaller. So, everyone that works out will probably experience a gain, but the inches are leaving. Also, I took a week off to let my body rest and I lost 3 pounds in that week. So, it will come off... You are doing AWESOME...You will be at goal before you know it... Apryl

Tammy, My husband is Navy and works out six days a week, 3 with me, 3 with the military. According to him and all his instructors, the more you exercise, the more calories you need to eat to get your body burning. Not a great deal more, just a 100 here or there. I was eating 800 calories a day or less and not losing anything. Hubby suggested I up my calories to 1000-1100 a day (at least on workout days as I workout 5 days a week) and I went back to losing 1 lb every other day or so. Hugs, Tonya
