Day 4 Exercise--This is Fun
How's everyone doing on this blustery (here in NY) Saturday? Not sure if anyone takes the weekend off, but I'm going to post anyway... I, for one, need this thread & don't really want to skip a day right in the beginning. I have a couple weekends this month that I'll be gone so I'm gonna shoot for every day while I'm home....
Combined Exercise for all of us----We're doing awesome
646 minutes (lynn, yes cleaning your house is exercise...i added some time
in for that...heck sometime I think it's harder exercise than
what we normally do)

Soooo, Saturdays stats:
Weight: Didn't get on the scale today. Getting sick of 204.5 already.
Treadmill: 43:08 minutes
Distance: 2.53 miles
Speed: 3.5 to 4.0 mph
Fat Cals Burned: 101
Calories Burned: 325
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Remember, walking through the mall, chasing after our kids, doing housework....It's all exercise....

Since I workout later in the day- like AFTER work and usually till 10-11pmEST
I am posting my 2 last days of workout:
Sat. morning I weighed 241
Sunday morning March 5- weigh 237.5
I decided to try something new:
drank 25gms protein 1 hr before workout
draqnk another 25gm protein shake - withiin minutes of completing
my workout. 50gms total
BUT also impt to know- having the protein- IMMEDIATELY following the workout- prevents lactic acid build up and gets protein to your muscles
and Helps INITIATE muscle recovery faster and lessen muscle soreness.
Plus I think since we are wired differently- the protein is going to help burn fat faster as well..
Saturday March 4:
CARDIO= 90 mins / 775 Calories burned:
21min 5k on the Treadmill, var inclines, 175 calories
21min Treadmill, var inclines + speed, another 190 calories
speeds= 3.0-3.6 & inclines to 7%
48mins on Precor Stairmaster- burned another 410 calories
WEIGHTS:15 reps=1 set
Leg Sled: 3sets 40-65lbs wgt
Lat pull down 3sets - 20lbs
Hamstrings 3sets - 60lbs
Quadriceps 3 sets - 40lbs
Vertical Row 3 sets - 30 lbs
Deltoids(shoulders) 2sets - 20 lbs
30 min sauna/hot tub felt good
Friday March 3 - I was feeling depressed & managed to get into a handful of Wise potato chips..I headed for the gym at 8:30pm
40 mins treadmill, 10 mins Precor stairmaster = 275 calories burned
Weights:
Leg Sled: 3sets of 15 reps each, 40lbs
Rollerbladed for over an hour.
I have no idea how many calories, but I started last weekend and it was the first time in over 7 years that I was on my rollerblades. My husband and I use to rollerblade down on the beach in virginia beach and we would roller blade 17 miles a day.... That is when I was 155....I have 20lbs to get there... but I am back on the blades and without WLS that NEVER would have happened.
