Eating too much, too often...

I don't know what the problem is! I guess because it's about that time of the month. I want to eat alot! Not like a huge amount of food, but it seems like I can eat every hour and it is a big struggle for me not to do so. I was wondering if any of you are experiencing this?

Every now & again I'll feel that way. Usually around my period or when I have company & snacks are around. I usually try to grab a bottle of water cause I know I won't eat & drink at the same time. If I still have the urge to nibble, I grab something healthy. Like mozzarella string cheese or a few crackers. You're not alone that's for sure. We constantly get reminded that this surgery is just a "tool" and how we use it is ultimately our decision. I try to keep my "mind" as sharp as the "tool" and don't abuse it. The further out we get, the more we need to remind ourselves of this... Good Luck & keep posting...I think it helps tremendously Tammy

I'm glad you brought up the water... that's another thing! I almost always drink within 5-10 minutes of eating. I am begining to feel like a WLS surgery failure. I am sure things will get better though - starting today! Thanks for your help!

Clarissa, I think we have all been through this a time or two. I know I have! The thing with drinking so soon after you eat is that it washes what you just ate right through your pouch and then you are hungry all over again. If you can, wait at least 45 minutes so you can feel full longer and will be less hungry all the time. I have had to constantly remind myself to do this. Don't feel like a failure. I bet there isn't one person on here that can't say the very same thing about being hungry and wanting to eat all the time. I agree that when it's time for Aunt Flo to visit, I get the hungries bigtime! Lori 281/201/140

Clarissa, I've been going through this since 2 months out. It's like I eat and 1/2 an hour later I'm hungary again. This doesn't only happen to me at that time of the month, it happens all the time. I eat all of my protein from meat, I don't need supplements. I don't drink my water like I'm suppose to, or exercise like I'm suppose to, but I do everything else. You've done so great with your weight lose. Don't get discouraged, because you seem as though you do everything you are suppose to. I'm starting to sound like Lori, lol. I love her, she has helped me so much. Don't give up, you are not alone. Praying for you. Toya 284/219/175??

I am glad to atleast know that I'm not alone. It's been like this everyday for five days! I think the only reason I didn't eat alot today was because I saw my dumb dog kill and eat a cat at 8 am! Gross...Thanks for the support. I agree, Lori is sooo awesome!! She should get a WLS support award or something
