Hey all you August Babies! I am officially 6-months postop today! I had my checkup yesterday and everything went well. I am right on track. I have lost 54% of my excess weight!! My bloodwork was great. I feel awesome! I weighed in 80lbs less!!! Today I weigh 81lbs less! I am one pound away from ONDERLAND! I truly believe that my walking has kick started my losses. WHOO HOOOO! Makes me wanna walk that much more! I feel amazing! I will get hubby to take some 6month body shots so I can post them. I still haven't gotten my before bra/panty shots off my hubby's phone yet. But I will and then I will post comparison shots. Like I told Apryl... We are a brave group! But it sure does show the loss so much better doesn't it?? Keep up the good work everyone! Lori 281/200/140

Congrats Lori, You are doing great! You are my surgery twin... though I started out with more. Keep up the good work. I had my official 6 month check Tuesday and bloodwork was good for me also. I am looking forward to the Century Club soon... onederland is still a ways off. Eileen 337/239/160ish

Lori, I am so happy for you. Tomorrow is my 6 months. It is amazing.....Keep up the great work, keep walking. I have started running and I always hated it and never could run far. Some tri athletes at work are coaching me on running and I ran my first mile on Wednesday and so I am going to the track tomorrow. I like it if it keeps my body lean..... Diana

OMG! That is so awesome! When I was on my walk today I was walking so fast that I almost thought of running... for about 10 seconds! I probably could run a ways but I am not comfortable doing it yet. Maybe after I lose another 20lbs or so. Running does make for a lean body. Good Job!!! Lori

If you try to run start running as slow as you can that is how to build up with running. I run so slow that a fast walker could pass me by. If I go to fast then I hurt and can't make it as far I just get to winded. Diana

Good advice!! I might try that. I have always wanted to be a runner. Their bodies are soo lean. I had a friend who started running and her body looked awesome. Thanks! Lori

Congratualtions to my surgery twins! I can't believe it's been 6 months, the time has just flown! I'm at -72 lbs and am so happy with my accomplishment! The craziest thing to me is that for the first time in my life I joined a gym. What's even crazier, I like it! I never could have done that 6 months ago! I know our next 6 months will bring us even greater achievements! Michele T 315/243/160

My 6 month anniversary was the 24th as well. I also weigh 200. I have weighed this the enitire month of February. I jog too - about 20 minutes a day on a treadmill. I only run a little over one mile in 20 minutes so I am very slow. Congrats! Maybe we will both see onederland and stay there in the next few days. LOL, Sherry 276/200/130-140

Lori, You are doing AWESOME..... One pound to ONEDERLAND... I am sending you a message..... Close your eyes.... Oh you can't read if your eyes are closed.... You are getting lighter, lighter, lighter...... You are now in ONEDERLAND... Congrads.... Great job, Please don't get discouraged about working out and not losing... It happened to me. Keep walking, because you ARE losing inches... even if the scale doesn't move....You are shrinking away.... Have a great day.. Apryl
