New to posting but not the site, have ?
I am going to be post op 6 months on the 22nd. I have gone from my highest weight 310 to now 219, and size 26/28 to now size 18/20. I am happy with my weight loss, and loss in inches. I am losing at a slow pace. I am one of those losers that lose nothing for 2, 3 weeks, then bam like 7 to 10 lbs. Is anyone else like that? I find it very frustrating. I just wish i would lose every week. I also noticed that the 2, 3 weeks i lose nothing i usually go down a size or 2. So that part is fun.
Anyway i dont exercise at all. I know i need to, but i just dont want to. I have always hated it. The only thing i like doing is swimming, but i am afraid of what it will do to my hair, plus things are looking worse on my legs now then they did before. So i am afraid of being seen in a suit. I know it's just another excuse.
Anyway i just wanted to pop in and say hi. And see what this board is all about.

Hello D! I had surgery 2 days after you. I too go weeks with no loss and then drop 5-8 lbs. I seem to be losing about 1 lb every other day this week. But I am sure I will stall out again. Although, I did start walking a good distance at lunchtime this week. My route is 1 1/2 miles long and it takes me about 25 minutes. I walk at a pretty good speed so I hope it works to speed things up. I haven't really been able to exercise until recently because of an L&I back injury. Didn't want to pu**** But now that I have been cleared, I am going gung ho!
Pop in anytime and give us a shout! We'd love to hear from you!

Welcome.....
Today is my 6 month & it's very exciting to watch myself & everyone else on here hit this milestone in our journey. I too, lose, then stall for 2 -3 weeks then lose again. Seems like the scale is moving very slowly, but as long as it's moving downward, that's ok with me. I exercise in spurts. Lately, haven't done much cause I may have a hernia, but am antisipating the spring so I can get out & walk again.
Sounds like you are losing like alot of us. Keep up the great work & pop in every now & again to say hello & let us know how you're doing. Everyone is great on this board.

Well Howdy!
Nice to see ya here. Why don't you try water aerobics? When I was having major feet issues I tried it and the nice thing is, the skinny/fit folks aren't there so you shouldn't feel too conspicuous. If no one else has mentioned it yet (I didn't read everyone else's posts - sorry) someone posted a SUPER analogy to what our bodies are doing. It's about being told to run 10 flights of stairs right this minute. You'd make it, but only if you stopped at the landings to catch your breath - make sure your heart wasn't going to explode, etc. and then continue. Our bodies are doing the same thing - we call them plateaus instead of landings. If you're seeing a loss in either inches and/or weight each week be happy. It sounds like you're still losing more than what my doctor likes per month (8-10 lbs), you're doing great on inches so to me it sounds like you're ahead of the curve. Great! Exercise would probably help with constitiency, but you already knew that.
