That's right....Russell Stover's Turtles (sugar free). How does sugar free chocolate work for everyone? I have one in the evening and it's yummy. I watch my fat intake during the day to try not to go over 20 grams in the whole day. Eat my protein shakes, meats, veggies, frui****er, vitamins, etc. So this little piece of heaven seems to keep me connected to my former life. How does sugar free chocolates work for you? Thanks, Gina 267/199/150

Gina, I think sugar-free anything is a scam. Most of the times, the box says in fine print "not a low calorie food." I looked at a box of sugar free chocolates and it was serving size 3 pieces, calories 150! That's crazy, 50 calories for a little piece of sugar-free chocolate. For that, I'd rather have a slice of lite bread at 40 calories. Sugar Free yogurt is sickeningly sweet, and often has as many calories as the low-fat yogurt with sugar. Anyway, I read a study stating that sugar free and diet foods actually make your body crave real sugar, fat and salt. People who drink diet soda (as I always have) are twice as likely to be overweight, because the artificial sweetness in the diet soda does not satisfy real cravings, so people drink a Diet Coke, and have a bag of Fritos or a candy bar with it. But, I never had a sweet tooth anyway, and if it's working for you, that's great. A pice of sugar free chocolate is definitely better than getting a king sized Butterfinger or something. Good luck, Carrie

Gina, I've had a small piece here & there. I've had 3 bars sitting on my counter for like 4 months now just in case I feel I want something. Make sure you watch the Sugar Alcohols...they can be just as bad as real sugar. Also, the maltilol can send you to the bathroom with the runs (sorry, i know the thought is gross)... I think as long as you keep the intake very low & it's keeping you on track with everything else...GO FOR IT.... I like to keep the sugar free pudding with splenda in it handy for a quick treat. Must admit I stay away from sugar free. My tummy doesn't do well with any of it. I'd rather have one real piece of chocolate or something. (Oreo Crisps or a hershey kiss). I am glad you found some to satisfy your craving. It's never good to jones for something for too long. Torrey (281/213/145)

those are great! i was never much into candy, but when i want something sweet i have a piece of those. last week i went to the drugstore and they only had big bags so i bought one, took out 3 pieces and gave the rest to the checker! i paid $2.00 for 3 tiny pieces, but it was better than having it around and being tempted!
