omg! you guys make me feel soooo much better! i've been stalled for a month although my measurements have gone down. but it's still been so frustrating. don't know what my ending weight will be, but probably have from 20-40 more to lose. i think it will take forever though! but it's definitely good to know that we're all in the same boat! guess we just need to stick with it and it will pass. good luck to all! Hi Amy- DON'T let it get you down! I just went thru this last month- when I stationed at 248/252 lbs. The GOOD NEWS is - I cleard the hurdle this week. I dropped 7lbs since Thursday- when my surgeon weighed me at 251. Now I am 244..and I did nothing different..I didn't do the "plateau buster " diet..I did indulge a little more with some foods- and I kept getting on the scale every single day- that is what's driving you crazy. In addition to the note someone wrote about plateaus being rests on a staircase- I also think that when you hit a weight- (in my case it was 250)- that you had been stable at previously- for a long time- then your body latches on to that number again..and if you undereat it will think its starving & you won't lose weight..if you are interested in jogging the scale..try doing weights and exercise- that will change your metabolism and up your calorie burning all day long.. See my profile- my surgeon just gave me a base metabolism test. Hope this helps! Donna
