Can everyone post if they eat these now and if so, how many servings and types per day? I can eat a small orange if I chew very thoroughly and eat slowly. I can also eat a medium banana. These snacks are really working well for me but I'm afraid my stomach isn't ready for them. Opinions, please!

I can eat them. Have an occassional small salad or a small vegetable serving with a meal -- protein first and not much room left. Broccoli causes issues for me. But, I eat chinese food for lunch quite often -- Pepper Steak with Onion or maybe Mongolian Beef. I go light on the sauces but eat the vegies along with the beef. No problems. Have only had a taste of frui****ermelon and cantalope were good since they are mostly water anyways. My doctor says everything in moderation and if you want something go ahead and try it, bu****ch your portions. And again - protein first! Eileen 337/251/160ish

I was scared to try salads as it seemed everyone was saying how it didn't settle well but I finally broke down (I love salad) and had a small one but I thought I would throw in my protien too so I put turkey in it and I have no problems what so ever. So I must be lucky I guess. I haven't had any problems with fruit either but I have only tried bananas and grapes, cantalope, pineapple (have to be careful there) Good luck Diana 267/196/165

If you have a WalMart nearby they sell their generic brand of canned sliced peaches in juice sweetened with Splenda, and let me tell you they are great. So sweet and juicy and all good for you. I stay away from bananas completely because they are such a concentrated sugar. Applesauce is super to eat, easy to digest and great with some cinnamon, just get it unsweetened. Fresh peeled apple is a good choice. I eat canned spinach, frozen broccoli, anything but corn really. I actually eat everything separate.....meat at a meal, fruit as a snake, veggies as a snake. I can't eat more than three ounces of solid food at one time so I just split everything up. Enjoy! Gina

Yes, I can eat them. I enjoy them as well. I have found that fresh fruit gives me gas and diarrhea. If it weren't for the gas, I use this all the time to keep me regular. I haven't any problems with salad or cooked veggies. - Torrey (281/218/145)

Hi Donna, As of New Year's Day I'm allowed everything except breads/grains/potatoes. I'll get those in about 10 pounds time. I wasn't allowed crunchy veggies or citrus fruit until then. As far as the amount goes, I'm to eat a 3-1 ratio of protein to everything else - forever, though of course sometimes the ratio isn't quite that. I would think, based on how strict my doctor's regiment is that unless your doctor specifically said otherwise, you're good to go. Enjoy Dawn 258/157/135
