Did Your Weightloss Slow Down In December too??
Hi Everyone,
I was just looking at my monthly weight loss figures & my December weight loss slowed down dramatically from previous months. I've read previous months boards & it seems right around the 4 month mark everyone lost under 10 lbs. Just wondering what everyone else, here, has lost.
My records show
August 15 lb weight loss
September 14 lb weight loss
October 16 lb weight loss
November 14 lb weight loss
DECEMBER **** 6 lb WEIGHT LOSS**** (guess I'm keeping with the trend)
Believe me, 6 lbs is better than none. I'll take 1 lb if it's a loss. Of course I gotta love those over 10 lb months.... Hopefully, they're not gone yet.

Hi Tammy,
My weight loss is so different from everyone else in August.
August -18 pounds
September -10 pounds
October -7 pounds
November -11 pounds
December -13.5 pounds
My best month was August, but it fell off for me in October. A friend told me that had the surgery a year ago that being short (I'm 5'1") it takes longer for us due to slower metabolism and not as great of muscle mass.
I know that December was my next best month and on average it is 12 months per month. I'll take it. I am now 59.5 pounds lighter then I was this time 5 months ago.
My surgeon sees everyone the same, so that was frustrating me for a while. Now I take it in stride and am extremely happy with -60 pounds! I never would have accomplished this without the surgery, so I am proud of myself.
I just pray that January will be as successful for me. I haven't weighed this since I was 23 years old. Life is good!!!!

Rita,
You're sooo right? I was going month by month from my surgery date, but then I decided to go from the 1st to the end of the month. I will be 5 months out on the 15th. I was 1 lb less this morning so maybe it'll pick up a little over the next week or so.
Keep up the great work

If I calculated right, my loss was 9 lbs. But for the past two weeks, nothing. Not even a lb. I know this is usual for me but it gets so frustrating. I am hoping for a big loss in the next week or so. My nutritionist won't be very happy with me... I meet with her over the phone on Thurs. I weigh the same as I did the last appt. grrr! But I guess no gain is a good thing too. And, I am wearing clothes that were tight on me even though I weighed less when I wore them. Does that make sense? I wore a size 18 when I weighed 195 8 years ago. Now I am in a 16 stretch and a loose regular 18 weighing 219. Makes no sense to me. I still have 2 pairs of the regular non-stretch size 18 shorts I wore back then, that fit me better now. It's weird. Anyone else experience this?

Lori,
My weight does the same thing. We're so close with numbers too. I was 284 on the day of surgery & am 218 as of this morning. Are we close in height too? I'm 5'4". It is different with WLS and measurements. Seems because even when we're not losing weight, we're losing inches, therefore, making us fit into different sizes than we could when we were at this weight before. I haven't tried an 18 yet, but my 20's are getting lose on me. My shirt size dropped very fast though. It is frustrating the way the scale will stay in one place for a week or 2. I remember getting so sick of seeing 239, then it was 226, lately it's been 219... Really, I'm not complaining, just..........well.....you know what I'm feeling.

Tammy,
We are practically the same person!! I am 5' 4 1/2"! I am getting sick of seeing 219 on the scale! And yes, I know exactly what you are feeling! You should try the 18's. I bet by the time you try them, they will be too big! And go for the stretch jeans. So much more comfy. I can't stand non-stretch jeans anymore! Thanks for caring! It's nice to know I have a "twin"!
