ok I am curious on what kinds of food everyone is eating? I am finding that the foods I should be eating (healthy) are the ones that don't go down real well and if they do they don't do well once they get there. Of course the foods I shouldn't be eating - (high in sodium, etc.) go down great! So I was wondering if you all would give me your input of what you all eat in an avg day and give me some ideas. I am not talking about the protien drinks and all but actual food. Thank you in advance by the way for all you stallers out there I feel for you and finally got past my last one that lasted 3 weeks and have lost 5#'s in 2 days!!!!! I feel I am on a roll now and can actually see my goal of Onederland by the new year! Diana 267/205/145

Hey Diana, Ironically, everything I have tried as gone down well with me. So far, I haven't had any intolerances. I just have a serious problem with carbs! I try to eat alot of chicken though because of the protien. It's hard to make these diets work sometimes. Sometimes I worry that I eat too much - ugh! I definately think you'll make it to onderland by the new year... hopefull I will by 2007 lol

It's good to know I'm not the only one that the carb demons call out to! I seriously blew it on carbs last night - then of course the guilt eats me alive. So today I'm back to working hard to avoid those horrid carbs. I eat 'normal' foods. I try to get in protein first, then some veggies. The carbs are my weak spot. Usually I have a protein shake for breakfast, a small Wendy's chili/cheese at lunch, another protein shake in the afternoon, then dinner is a meat and a veggie. Unless some pasta sneaks it's way onto my plate!

hi, Diana. For me it's different every time....I never know what's not going to agree with me....I might eat something good 5 times, and then next time it's making me feel uncomfortable. As for things we shouldn't eat, I've done that...And I have no horror stories to tell. I'm trying to do same thing as all of you do: protein first, then vegies, then if I still feel hungry , may do carbs. recently my sweet tooth started to call too frequently, and I did indulge myself last w/end, but I'm back on track, and I'm too out of my stall. COngrats on your progress. best wishes, Rita.

Right now chicken just won't stay down. I've been doing precooked bacon and cheese, but that is high in fat. I'm burnt on chilli and looking for something new to intice me. If it weren't for the profect protien vials I'd be in big trouble. Even worse, mini bags of popcorn. I love it. It's a shame it doesn't make a balanced diet. - Torrey (281/227/140)

Torrey - I just read your post and you mentioned the mini bags of popcorn. I'm glad I noticed it, because I can eat the entire thing! I love popcorn to death, but it freaks me out that I can eat the whole thing of it. Can you do it too?

Hi Diana, My problem is the protein, don't like it. I eat everything, especially pasta;that's all I know how to cook. I think that is why I haven't lost a pound since October;nor have I lost any inches. I still have problems eating meats, but I still manage to get them down. Yesterday I ate a bowl (a whole bowl) of spagetti. How I'm able to eat that much at this point is so disturbing to me, but I am able to eat that much everyday. Then I'm hungary an hour later. At first when I got hungary that soon after eating I still couldn't get more food in, now I am able to add more food. Help!!!!! I'm trying to do protein and trying to cut out the carbs. Hope its not over for me. Glad you're finally out of your stall. Toya 284/229/175

Hi Toya, The reason you are hungry soon after eating is because of the carbs. Carbs will make you hungrier sooner. If you eat some dense protein, like cheese or meat, you will stay full longer and won't get that starving feeling you get from eating carbs. Trust me, I know. I stay away from all the carby stuff. I eat lots of cheese sticks and soy nuts. I don't do protein shakes either. My doc wants me to get my protein from food. I hope this helps you. It did me when I heard it. Lori 281/219/140

Toya, You are sabatoging yourself. You cannot live on carbs. You will hurt yourself, please stop. Go to the store, buy the deli sliced turkey/ham and eat three or four slices. Get some mozarella string cheese. If you are dying for carbs. Put a piece of meat in a soft torilla shell, put a little cream cheese, red onion and green pepper (finely chopped). This does not require cooking, but is loaded in protein. Protein..... is so important. Try this. Get a protein that is vanilla ice cream, vanilla or no flavor. Go to the freezer section of you grocery store. Buy some peaches, raspberries, and other frozen fruit that you like (No sugar added fruit) And buy some orange juice high in calcium and some Crystal Lite Sunrise flavor drink. Put 1/2 cup of oj, 1/2 cup of Crystal Lite, three peach slices and a few rasberries and 1 scoop of protein. YOU WILL NOT TASTE THE PROTEIN and it gives the drink a good texture. The fact that the fruit is frozen makes it taste like a shake. I started doing this drink about 3 weeks ago and I have lost more weight drinking this as a protein then just regular protein with milk. PLEASE>>>>PLEASE try it. You will not be disappointed. Plus you will get protein and you will not be eating bad carbs.
