Or at least I should be able to with the bat wings I've developed. I was so hoping I would need plastic surgery but after getting a look at my new wings, I can hardly wait. I'm getting a bit worried about what my body will look like after losing 50 more pounds? Not to ***** but flabby is being flappy, and its not a good look. Anyone else dealing with the extra skin? What are your plans? - Torrey (281/stuck at 227/140)

Hi Torrey... My arms are getting to be like bat wings too, for sure! It sucks, but it's part of the process. I guess I'll join in and get plastic surgery in a couple of years too. Everyone told me I'd have less skin because I'm so young... NOT TRUE! hehehe Clarissa 346/243/105

I am having the same issues. I already have huge bat wings and a panni that I would like to lose. I am planning on trying to get my insurance to pay for the tummy tuck (I am documenting all rashes and taking photos), and I might try to get them to pay for my thighs if they become a problem. I will be headed to Brazil to the famous Dr. Fabio for the rest (arms, boobs, etc). He is a world renowned surgeon who teaches US doctors new techniques, and his hospital is ranked 3rd cleanest in the world. And it is less expensive than in the US. Less than $10,000 for a tummy tuck or belt lipectomy, breast lift w/augmentation, thighs, and batwings! In the US that would cost well over $50,000, maybe even more. Katie 359/288/199?

Wow! Only $10000 for all that? I am IN! We should all go together! LOL! Seriously though... that is very inexpensive for all of those surgeries. I know I am gonna need at least the tummy and boobs! At that price, I might consider the thighs and arms too! Lori 281/219/140

Count me in! Because I watch too much Nip/Tuck, I've dreaded the thought of plastic surgery. However, I'm not losing all this weight to keep myself in long sleve shirts and long pants all through the year. - Torrey (281/still stuck at 227/140)

Torrey, I can relate: after loosing 57 lb I'm starting seeing problems. My main concern is my neck.... if I pull skin on it a little bit it starts to look crinkly (sp?), it doesn't bounce back the way it used to (loss of turgor would be oficial term), and I'm only 36 y.o. My arms aren't too bad, but that's because I don't think I've lost much in them (or my boobs), legs and butt look decent even though that's where the most of my weight loss occured. And I assume that's due to my persistant exercising. And my stomach isn't tight or attractive, but mostly because of pregnancy stretch marks are still being apperant (my baby is 17 months). Having said all that, I still think it's all worth it. I'm feeling so much better. take care, Rita

I'm 23 and everyone keeps telling me that my skin will tighten up, but I can't see that happening when I have a lot of stretch marks on my arms (where my bat wings are) and my belly! I don't believe that stretch marks will go back to normal EVER. BUT, it is too early in the game to be thinking about that. I will cross that bridge once I've lost all this extra weight. I'll just keep exercising and lifting weights and rubbing cocoa butter lotion for stretch marks all over me and cross my fingers, LOL -Lynn Lap RNY 8-16-05 297/230/140

I lost about 100 lbs on fen-fen many years ago. I was in my early thirties. My skin did bounce back. However, I didn't weight as much then as when I got the surgery this time. Plus I'm 40 plus now. Lynn, I think you'll luck out and tighten up all on your own. -Torrey
