Toni, I was 334 the day of surgery (Aug 18th, 2005) and now I am 245. I lost 43 pounds the first month and it has been less each month, but don't worry...it has to. The dr. told me that your body has to adjust and catch up sometimes to what is going on. Just be glad the 61 pounds is gone! Jill

Sorry.... I'm no help as I just now got my 3rd fill. My starting weight was 343. Only lost about 25 lbs mostly at surgery. I think I've just found my sweet spot so here goes! Iris D

My starting weight was 346, but I lost about 10 pounds on the pre-op diet, and in total I have lost 93 pounds since the diet and surgery. I now weigh 253. I frequently stall for weeks at a time, then drop 5-10 pounds, then stall again. It's frustrating. Keep up the good work.

Hi Toni - My surgery was 8/15 and my presurgical weight was 325- so we are almost the same- and Im 5'3"/5'4". I am arguing with the staff over my height! LOL Anyway- I have found that when you are too focused on OUTCOME- i.e. weight loss- it doesn't help lose the weight or move the scale. When you shift to focusing on maintaining your program: getting all your daily supplements,45-60gms protein, 64oz+ water, & exercise - the scale moves! This sounds simpler than it is. I usually stall around my period- so for that week, I never weigh myself- cuz Im usually high-and then I drop the following week. I was stuck @267 for awhile- then the next week it went to 262 and I am now at 259/ -66lbs, and really happy! I haven't been this weight for 6 yrs! Also keep this in mind as you exercise and weight train: muscle weighs more and burns fat faster- so if you are expanding and exercising your muscles, you may not see the scale go down, but your clothes will fit you looser, and your BMI will drop. i'm glad to see I'm not alone- but don't let it bother you, and don't weigh yourself more than once a week- and do it first thing in the morning. Your metabolism is higher as the day progresses. Hope this helps you - hang in there. Email me anytime - I'll be happy to chat with you!
