I've been logging my weight loss and measurments in fitday since before surgery. The latest trend for me is to loose 2 lbs a week. But I've also noticed that when my weight slows, my inches lost increases. I swear that when we slack on our protiene shakes, the weight stalls. Then when we get back on track for a few days with the protiene and vits, and water (god help us if we can get ALLthat in in a day lol) my scale drops quickly. I guess you can call me a light weighter.... 210 when I started and 90 to loose (5'1 in height). I've lost 60 so far with 30 to do to hit my goal of 120 (and I might just blow away in the wind at 120 lol) So I'm okay with 2 lbs a week to give my skin a chance to catch up. My turkey waddle is slowly going away. My inner thighs look like something from a horror story thought lol. And a frikin inner thigh rash to boot? Go figure. Theboobs.... I discovered the "water bra" and can compensate for my very much reduced breast size lol.

Great to read this thread...I am down 48 pounds since my surgery 8/20. Reached 188 (I would be considered a lightweight since I started at 236. )I feel OK most of the time about my weight loss, b/c I know I am exercising quite a bit. It can be frustrating b/c I get the message from my RN case manager (part of our aftercare program) that I am losing "on the slow side". However, I have done lots of research, also found the bariatric support center website to be very helpful. I am feeling that slow and steady may make it easier for me in the long run, because I am learning to eat in a way that I can eat for the rest of my life, as well as learning to exercise which I will always have to do. I lean toward taking a protein drink...I find it difficult to consistenly get in the 60 grams of protein that our program has as a goal for woman at this point. I find that "fuzzy navel nectar" protein mixed in sunrise crystal light is very drinkable, and gives me 23 grams protein. Then I can eat the rest during the day. Besides, most diet sources of protein have more calories than the pure protein supplement , so maybe that helps too. Fluids are tough, but just keep pushing yourself...everyone plateaus...I have heard that often you plateau at a point where you maintained your weight for a while..if that is the case, I think I will be right where I am for a while. I try to remember this...when did I EVER lose 48 pounds in a little over 3 months (OK, NEVER!!), I feel good, I am exercising and I work full time.... It seems there are a lot more of us out there than I would have thought, we can get through it.... Happy Holidays to All
