Hi all, hope everyone had a good holiday. I am 3 months out tomorrow and nowhere near where I wanted to be. I have been reading some of the older post from the last few days. I'm behind because PC was down. I weigh on Mondays for the chart I keep and as of today I lost 0 for the week last week. I have only lost 46.8 total. A loss of only a little over 2 lbs for the last two weeks. I get VERY frustrated. I know I don't get enough water and I have trouble doing protein drinks. I just try to focus on protein as the majority of my meals. I do go to Curves and was only able to go once last week due to son being out of school. I'm headed there today to try and fit in 3 to 4 x's this week. I was just wondering if any of y'all stalled around this time? I lost more on my period than I did this last week. Hi Gianna!!! 46.8lbs is great!!!!! You've already reached onederland, and alot of us can't wait to get there!!!!! Also, don't forget you're a "lightweight" and lightweights lose slower, don't get down on yourself, you lost 46.8lbs that's gone 4ever!!!! I also have a hard time with my water and protein, Ijust make myself carry around a water bottle everywhere I go, and protein drinks....hate em!!! I'm like you, I try to eat most of my protein. I do eat those South beach protein cereal bars..10gms of protein in each bar and they are really good, cheap, and you get them right in the cereal isle!!! Good luck and keep up the good work!!!!!!!!! OXOXOX MZ

I was doing the cereal bars too and found the meal replacement bars have more protien (19g) and it takes care of the meal completly and they aren't bad at all. and Gianna you are doing Great and just keep remembering that it will all come off give it time - I have already lost more in the last 3 mo.'s than I have in the last 5 years Diana 267/211/145

Good morning Gianna, I had open RNY on 8/23/2005. I have as of yesterday lost 48 pounds. I was 237.5 and today am 189.0. I seem to be very close to the way you are losing. I am trying to be patient but know my surgery is working because I am not able to eat a lot (thankfully) and some days I can literally look down at the left side near my belly button and see my new little Lexus swollen.( Cost of surgery is the cost of a new Lexus!!) 9 times out of 10 times when my tummy is swollen larger than on the right side my tummy does not even want my protein shakes. I make myself eat the shakes and vitamins on those days and go back to chicken broth and soft stuff that day. Then on other days I can eat Steak and salad with no problem. It is always an adventure, I never know what kind of "MOOD" my tummy will be in from one day to another. Patience is such a hard thing for me but I know without a doubt I will make my goal and am jus****ching it come off at it's own speed! Keepin on Keepin on, I know the desire to be there faster but am comfortable with all the stuff we are learning and going through. Have a wonderful day!

Hi Gianna, I understand totally what you're going through. If you look at my profile, I only lost a couple of pounds from the end of October through the 16th of November. It was very frustrating. I hit my 3 month mark on November 15th & also hit a woosh. I've lost 11 lbs since the 16th. I think I'm starting to slow back down now, but enjoyed that loss while it lasted. I think our bodies have to play catch up during those weeks of stalling. Make sure you measure, because on the weeks I didn't lose weight, was the weeks I lost the most inches. This whole process can be frustrating & hard to understand, but as time goes by, we'll all start to understand our own bodies process. I think you're doing wonderful. My sister Deb was lighter weight when she started this process & it does seem to come off alot slower once you hit the 100's. Keep your chin up & remember as long as you continue to follow the rules, your body will catch up & the weight will come off. Tammy 291/284 day of surgery/225/145

Hi Gianna, I was stalling this month. I even went up a pound or two. Then when on Friday the 25th when I was 2 lbs away from my short term goal of 204, I got mad and ate more than usual plus I ate the day before. I go to curves 6 time a week. So that afternoon I weighted myself again and I was at 204. Then I tryed to eat more during the day and I have lost 3 more pounds over the weekend. As of this moring I weigh 201. I am almost below 200 and cant wait. I know I read sometimes if your not eating enough that can slow things down. Diana 263/201/135 or 130

Well Gianna, We are twins... I started at 245.5 and I am now at 198.5. I also had my surgery 10 days before you. TRUST me, it may seem like it is taking forever, but it really is not. AND remember, we stand a good chance of not needing plastic surgery. Slow and steady wins the race. PLUS we are lightweights, so we will tend to lose slower...But the important thing is WE ARE LOSING and before we know it a year will have passed and we will be hotties.....So, keep your chin up and remember we are getting healthier with each passing day.... hey gianna! i had surgery 4 days before you and i've lost 43 pounds. i've been playing with the same 2 pounds up and down for a wee****ep trying to drink and get in your protein and the scale will eventually move. being lightweights we do lose slower. that's ok, it will all work out in the end! just keep doing what you're supposed to do and you'll see results! Hi Gianna, Unlike most of the folks who have responded so far, I was over 300 as my starting weight. (323 to be exact). I, too, have stalled for the second time since surgery (8/17). This time around, it's been a long and frustrating stall. I understand the theory of 'lightweights' losing slower...but that doesn't apply to me. I'm down 61 pounds, but that was achieved prior to the first week in November. My problem is water as well, but it's still depressing to not see the scale move. My big fear is that I am finished with my weight loss...which will utterly devastate me. I'm having alot of complications and to be honest, I'm questioning whether or not this was worth it...especially since I'm still quite obese at 262 pounds! My friend had hers on July 29th and is down 95 pounds...and she doesn't keep track of anything she eats nor does she exercise!! Life just isn't fair, if you ask me. (Sorry for venting here)... Let me know if you come up with a solution to our woes! Toni 323/stuck at 262/???

I feel that same way. I have the same problems as you but I do my protein drink just about every day. I haven't been exercising and I don't drink enough water. I am just not motivated anymore. I was doing great right after surgery. I guess after all of that I shouldn't complain about not losing weight because I am not really helping it along. I need help. I think that I might go to my weight loss therapist because I am starting to feel out of control again. I am sorry that I didn't offer much support but I feel you.
