What is everyone drinking?
I'm just curious, what is everyone drinking everyday? Does anyone drink coffee or caffeine? What kind of bariatric fluids, protein shakes, etc? I drink alot of decaf ice tea w/orange flavored kool aide(SF packet) or pink
lemonade kool aide. Designer Whey protein drink, not very much plain water (yuk), fruit o2, and I do drink REGULAR flavored coffee 2 cups at work (I work night shift) w/low carb hazlenut creamer by Int.delights (it's sooooo good). Let me know.........MZ
I drink mostly fruit 2o (love grape and strawberry); I'm not into plain water either. I also have unsweeted tea and occassionally, I'll have diet v8 splah or light cran-grape or cran-apple juice. I was drinking kool-aid and crystal light pink lemonade (my favorite!!) at first, but they give me heart burn, I had to give them up. I really really want a beer though.
I drink a lot of pain water, at least 40 to 60 oz a day. I do drink 2 cups plain coffee in morning and sometimes 1 in evening. Sometimes I have a glass of tea in afternoon, but neither coffee or tea is decaf. Is drinking caffine bad for us? I haven't noticed anything bad but then maybe it's something long term that I'm not aware of yet. I also drink 1-2 protein shakes a day. That's it, nothing else.
My main drink is crystal light lemonade on the go. I love those little packets. Just put them in 20 oz of water. Usually have 40 oz of this every day. I also try to drink 8-16 of v8 juice daily as I'm not too good with getting my veggies in. I just added my protein drink back in as I don't think Ive been getting enough protein in daily. I drink the Protein Delight Vanilla Very Berry YUM YUM YUM. I ordered it from bariatriceating.com. It tastes just like black raspberry ice cream and has real pieces of berries in it. I mix it with 8 oz of milk so it gives me a little over 20 g's of protein in 8 oz. I also like the ocean spray light cranberry grape & cranberry raspberry juice. When it comes to coffee, I'm not a big fan, but pre-op I LOVED CAPPUCCINO.... sooo my sister came up with a great way to whip up something that tastes just like it. You can use hazelnut decaf coffee or regular hazelnut. I've had both, but when it's not decaf I have to drink it in the morning or I'll be up late. Anyway what you need is 1 envelop of Nestle SF hot chocolate, SF Hazelnut flavored Coffee Mate, Carnation Powdered Milk (for a little extra protein) & Hazelnut coffee or regular coffee works too. Put the envelope of hot chocolate in your cup, add about 1/ 4 cup of the sf hazelnut creamer & a couple tsps of powdered milk. Stir & place in the microwave for 1 minute, remove & fill the rest of the cup with coffee. I also sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon on top. Stir & enjoy.... This is a great cold weather drink that tastes like a treat. It also satisfies the sweet tooth.
I haven't had anything carbonated & don't think I will.

here is my 2 cents.. I have protein drink every day for breakfast or lunch. I love Extreme Smoothie by VHT--35g of protein in 170 Cal/6g of carbs in 11 oz and very good and natural taste.... as a matter of fact the only one I actually ENJOY drinking rather than doing it because I have to.... I'm still pretty bad about drinking plain water....maybe have 20 oz./day....I don't do carbonated things at all, but occasionally I go for a cup of regular coffee with sweetener and milk, a few cups a week maybe... but I'm a tea drinker, and I got fed up with all sorts of decaf. teas, so I'm back on regular black tea . to me there is no better drink than freshly brewed black tea (not Lipton bag, but the real thing). So I drink about 2 cups of tea/day.I also like occasional glass of tomato juice if I remember to buy it. And last confession I have to make is that a week or so ago I had a big craving for beer for a few days even though I've never been a beer drinker.(but I did crave it when I was pregnant with my first child, and I'm not pregnant now Anyway I got myself Amstell Light...It was great... all 3 sips of it that I had , and I was done...

I mainly drink Propel water; about 34 oz a day. After that it's plain water or crystal light. The Crystal Light tends to burn going down so I don't drink it that often. No soda or cafe since surgery.
My favorite thing to drink/eat is protien smoothies. I use unflavored any whey, blend with banana and frozen fruit. It's my breakfast or desert.
