How much and what did you eat today?
I wanted to see what everyone was eating in a days time and how much,i
would like to make sure i'm not eating to much.Well here goes,breakfast,half cup left over chili,lunch half cup chili,supper a chicken leg,snack two oatmeal bars that were 180caleries,I'm waiting on my protein drinks from ups seems the hurricane messed everything up in florida,I hated to hear about the mess it caused.Shelly

At this time I whish I had a hard time eating.....my stomach forgot about surgery as long as I don't eat fast....I can eat way more than in a first two months.....I probably stretched it....I'm not reaching for bad staff yet at all, but I eat way too much, and my hunger and thirst are back.... there were non-existant for the firs 6 weeks or so...I have been at 45 lb loss for ....over 2 weeks now, and it's not moving....
So maybe this can help me to cut down on Cals.
Here it comes:
Breakfast @ 7am:
2scoops of Isopure mixed in a cup of 1% milk (not too bad)
Lunch at 12:30:
2 slices of ham and about 2 oz of fontina cheese (not bad either)
Snack @ 2 pm: less than a handfull of peanuts
Dinner at about 5 pm: Grilled chicken.....5 small strips with a few slices of cucumbers, tomatoes, and a few spinach leaves, sprinkled with oil/vinegar and chese (still being a good girl)
And then comes trouble at 8 pm:nibbling on handfull of grapes, 2 small slices of turkey breast, 1 oz of broiled salmon (was cooking lunch for tomorrow).
I'm even afraid to put it all in in fitday.
Had all vitamins, and water.

Let's see.... I will tell you what I ate yesterday:
breakfast - string cheese
lunch - sirimi (2oz), little smokies (6)
dinner - chicken stir fry 1/2 cup, 2 tbl rice
snack - popcorn, about 1.5 cups
60 oz water, vitamins, calcium, b12
My doc doesn't believe in protein shakes. Makes sense since they are liquid and liquid passes through pretty quickly. I know I need to eat more protein but it's hard when my nutritionist wants me to stick to 3 meals a day and a snack. I eat until I am full and don't drink with my meals.

Tomorrow is 11 weeks post op for me.
On Tuesday, I ate:
B-- 1 1/2 oz/. tuna with 3 harvest grain wheat thins
S-- 1/8 cup of soy nuts (honey roasted)
L-- 1/1/2 oz. tuna with 3 harvest grain wheat thins
S-- 1/8 cup of soy nuts (honey roasted)
D-- 1 1/2 oz. tuna, 1 string cheese, 3 harvest grain wheat thins
S--1 oz. blackbean & corn salsa with 3 baked tositos.
Lots of water & 1 hour (4 miles) on the Precor at the Y.

I'm never sure if I'm doing the right thing either...but here goes:
B- choc protein shake made w/8oz skim milk and a small banana
S- string cheese and 4 small pretzels
L- 1/2 c refried beans w/chicken and cheese
S- South Beach cereal bar (my favorite snack)
D- 1/4 c FF ricotta cheese with 2oz ground beef and light Ragu
I have been struggling with getting the 64oz of fluids...if I could chug it would be so much easier!!

it sounds like everyone that posted,is doing a great job some days i eat more than others,i have lost a total of 63lbs.In my diet and nutrition class i have to take this quarter we have been dicussing protein,in order for you to loose weight u need to eat something with your protein like lettuce or something green to help flush your protein out to lose the fat,if that helps anyone,i know this sounds gross but if you use the bathroom and your stuff floats you are lossing fat,when we dicussed this of course i had to look.Crazy i know,I was also learning that our body nees 9g of our weight in kilograms,so being over weight we need at least 80-100g per day,just thought i would vent on hat i have learned,thanks everyone who posted.Shelly

Breakfast: One Protein Bar
Snack: 1/3 Soynuts
Lunch: 1/3 cup Tuna with Mayo, 4 ritz crackers
Snack: 8 oz Skim Milk+ 1 pack Carnation Instant = 1 scoop soy powder.
Dinner: 2 hard boiled egg whites, 3 green beans, 4-5 noodles
Snack: 8 oz Yogurt
That puts me at 73-75 grams of protein a day. In between meals I drink crystal light, V8 or water to keep up fluids.
Yesterday:
2 multivitamins, thyroid medicine, B12
B- Maybe a 1/4 cup of the lowfat, high protein oatmeal with nonfat milk.
Between Breakfast and lunch I drink 16 oz of protein drink (48gr protein) made with nonfat milk. (400mcg calcium)
--I also drank 16 oz of water
wait 30 minutes
L-I ate 2 ritz crackers (1st bread product to date) 2 deli slices of ham and 1 ounce of cheese with 3 grapes (another 1st)
wait 30 minutes
--16 oz water of water(Biotin)
wait 30 minutes
D- I ate1 ounces of pot roast (The pre-made in a bag, heat and microwave and eat-awesome), 1 ounces of instant potatoe with gravy and 5 green beans.

---16 oz of water
---9 oz protein drink (32 grams)(600mg of calcium)
