Is anyone else disappointed?

i've had a couple of stalls so far and felt the same as all of you, but don't worry cuz usually if you don't lose weight you still lose inches, and eventually the pounds will come off again. just remember to eat and drink enough cuz if you don't your body will go into starvation mode and hold on to the weight. i've only lost 35 pounds and was a little disappointed too, but then again i only have a total of 80 to lose. i've been told that slow loss is better cuz we hopefully we won't have the hanging skin. good luck to all of you and this does work!

Well guys, Sorry to stop the pity party. But the buck stops here. I'm down 50 lbs and happy. The slow weight loss is beneficial in many ways: 1. You don't have to buy clothes more often 2. Skin has time to go back 3. Slow and steady is healthier Sorry to disappoint you, but NONE of us could lose the weight on our own, let alone 40-60 lbs in 3 months. Bottom line it's a tool and you never know how it's going to respond. Eat right, exercise and stop stressing!!

Thanks for every response. I feel much better. I know that I could have never lost 41lbs and kept it off without this surgery. I did lose 45 lbs on E'ola drops but quickly gained it back. I am happy with my loss. I just feel like alot of other people that it should be more. But I think that is because I am soooo worried I won't lose all of the 140lbs that I had to lose to begin with. AND it is good to lose slower. It gives your skin a chance to change with you. I really appreciate all of the responses. I feel better knowing that I am doing about average compared to everyone else. Let's keep up the good work ladies! WE CAN DO IT!!! By the way... I slipped into a size 18 jeans last night. I was a tight 24 to start with. That made me wayyyyyy happy! Take care, Lori

I tend to agree with you. A Loss is a loss is a loss right???? I have lost 60lbs thus far and I couldnt have done it on my own before! I probably could have GAINED it quicker than I could have lost it! Anyways I am proud of what I have done... AND I realize slow is good.... Alisa stress free!!

Hello Everyone! I am not dissapointed or anything... I however did think that I would lose faster.... but seriously when in less than 3 months have I lost almost 60 pounds???? NEVER! to help get me thru the plateaus I do measuring... it really helps... I try to workout everyday, so I sometimes think that I am gaining muscle but still losing inches thus the drop in inches not weight... Keep up the good work everyone! Bridget

Hi - I am so glad I am not the only one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been stuck for 2 weeks too. I can't seem to get past the 212 mark. Last Monday the scale said 208, but by Tues. it was back to 211-212. I find myself getting so frustrated. I want to hit the -50 mark, and I REALLY want to see onederland. I just keep getting the scary thought that I will be the only one this doesn't work for! I started at 254 the day of surgery, and was 260 at my highest weight, so it isn't like I haven't lost anything. My blood sugars are now normal (the real reason I had the surgery), so I am not sure why I am crabbing! I have dropped to an 18-20 from a 24, and my 20 pants are starting to feel loose, and I am starting to actually look good in my clothes. People are noticing. Why the griping?? Just impatient, I guess. I was just happy to hear I am not alone!! Thanks for letting me vent. Have a GREAT day! Hugs, Laura

Laura, I'm in the same boat. RNY same day 8/22, started at 261, down to 212. Been sitting there a few weeks. I'm down from a 26 to a 20. I'm thinking maybe if I begin a more rigorous exercise program I could see the scale move quicker. I'm still thinking about that one. Good luck! I think we're all lucky! Jackie B
