Freaking out: 5lbs gain within 3 days. HELP!!
Hi, Dolly!
I'm another weight loss sister here to, hopefully, give you a little encouragement. I haven't posted very often (don't always have time), but I do peruse the posts when time allows. If I've learned anything from my "eavesdropping", it's this ... we're all different!! Our bodies react differently to the same stimulii & it's a mistake to compare the way my body deals with certain things to the way yours reacts to the same things. I haven't had a problem with constipation, but I am dealing right now with water retention. My PCP prescribed a mild diuretic & it's getting a little better. Just like with any other meds, our bodies may take a little longer to respond to laxatives & diuretcs. But, hang in there, I'm sure it will & you'll be on the losing side again before you know it!
I just started going to the gym as well & my body is certainly not happy about it! I know some of those muscles haven't been worked in a lng time! lol
I'm looking forward to your post letting us know you're dropping that weight again!

Dolly,
I think we all freak out! I know I do if it stays the same for too many days in a row! I try not to mak myslef get on the scale, but they are YELLING my name! I just try to remember what someone told me a few days before...ENJOY THE RIDE! I have been working out too and muscle does weigh more.....bummer, but I NEVER exercised before surgery and I figure my body is trying to figure out what the heck is going on! Don't dispair....keep eating right, exercising and praying!
I am 10 weeks post op and have lost 70 pounds...a lot of inches but not sure how many!
Jill
Hi Dolly
I wouldn't worry too much. It sounds like your body is reacting to your new workout routine. As we work out we gain muscle. I bet in a week your scale will be where its suppose to be. I know I put on a few pounds when its that time of the month. Don't beat yourself up. Oh by the way have you measured yourself latley? I know when the sacal isn't going my way I grab the tape measure and measure myself and it shows. Hang in there you're doing great.
