It seems like alot of us are doing this! I'm thinking we must all be on schedule. Everyone keeps telling me it's normal, but I haven't lost much in about three weeks, but I did lose two or three pounds in the past 4 days or so. It really upsets me sometimes ... but everyone has told me that it's normal and not to worry. AGH!!!! Good luck
I've noticed that i lose for like a week & then stay the same for a week or 2. I've lost 35 lbs so far. I think it's kind of slow, but then I think, jeez if I keep losing an average of 3 to 4 lbs a week, I should hit goal by next June or so. Heck, can't say I've ever lost this much weight in less than 10 weeks. I get frustated as well, but remember to measure because even though the weight isn't coming off the inches are. I read on the OH Magazine Free Articles site about plateaus & it says you're not truly on a plateau unless you haven't lost weight or inches for at least 4 weeks, so hang in there and try to look at the bright side of things. As long as you're doing what you're supposed to, your body will catch on & the weight will come off.

Hi Gianna,
I thought that I was a slow loser, also. My surgery was 8/17 and I'm down 52 lbs. I hit a standstill after my second week (only down 19!) and then started up again, but soon hit another plateau where I was only losing like 2-3 pounds a week. About 2 weeks ago, I picked up the pace again and am losing about 6 a week. I think it all depends on how much you have to lose and also if you've been dieting before the surgery. I started the year off at 354 and lost 31 before surgery. Since then, I'm down the other 52. My nurse said I probably plateaued because I had been dieting beforehand and my body just needed a break. I actually don't mind plateauing because my clothes are starting to swim on me and I don't work right now, so buying new things is a real challenge! Keep up the good work...it seems we're all hovering around the same weight loss.
