Great Plateau Info!!!!
I also stalled at week three and six. I have talked with a lot of people about hitting a plateaus after surgery. I did some research on the subject. Go to Obesity Help Magazine's website and click on free articles. There is an article on plateaus titled, "Those Darn Plateaus". It is very insightful. http://www.oh-magazine.com/free.php
The times that I did not lose anything, I lost inches and a lot of them. In
the article, it states that right after surgery a person may not lose weight because the body is readjusting itself but they will lose inches because the body is redistributing the weight on your body. Again, I recommend the article to everyone. It even explains how to lose those last pounds when you are a year or more out. I wish you all the best of luck!
It seems like we are all losing at about the same pace. I have lost 40 pounds in 7 weeks. The profiles that I have read in which people lose the most weight and make their goal all have one thing in common. They all exercise almost everyday and follow their doctor's instructions. I read a profile in which the lady met goal in six months. She was down to 125 pounds! She walked 3 miles a day seven days a week. The weeks that I do this, I lose huge amounts of weight. When I don't get in enough exercise, I don't lose as much.
While you all are on this website, read the article about the girl named Ali. Then read her profile. It is worth it!! Very inspiring!!! Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. We are going to do great!!
