2nd Plateau??
I'm a little over six weeks out and seem to be having my second plateau. I plateaued between weeks 3-4 with only a hairs move on the scales. Then the weight started coming off again with an average of 3-4 lbs a week. I have lost a total of 31 lbs with 17 of them being in the first week. I'm proud of that, but now this week the scales aren't moving again. Has anyone experienced this or am I just stuck? It is so frustrating when the scales don't move.
Thanks,
Gianna
Good morning Gianna,
My open RNY was 8/23/2005. This morning I weighed 207.5. I started at 237.5. My weight has been as low as 205.0 but even though I am doing all the right things I am supposed to do, I can't get over how my body does not want to let the numbers on the scales go down any faster than my body is doing.
In frustration this morning I decided to try a pair of size 16 regular Cords on just to see how tight they would be---- Yes, you guessed it --- They fit wonderfully, and I had just last week squeezed into my size 18W jeans in my closet!!!!!
I am amazed how the weight remains on but the body size seems to be consistently going down. A reality, Pounds will eventually follow the body size.
Your note really did help me this morning, It seems with us having Aug 2005 surgery lots and lots of us seem to be doing it this way and about the same time frame.
We are keepin on keepin on and a 30 pound weight loss in less than 2 months is very, very good isn't it???
I am so glad to see this post. I have been stalled at a 32 pound weight loss for over a week now. I even upped my exercising and making sure I am doing everything right. I was beginning to feel like a WLS failure. It really helps to know others are just like I am. Work keeps saying it looks like I am still losing but my scale does not say that.
I am the same as you!!!! I have been stalling at 40 pounds for a week or so now and at 3-4 weeks I stalled. It sucks!!!! GO AWAY!!!!
Plus its like I wanted it to go away overnight and I have to keep telling myself that it didn't get there overnight. Sooooooo I have to try and be patient. My problem is that I weigh myself almost everyday and I know its BAD.
