Remember Me?????????????

Hi Everyone- I don't know if you will remember me. I had my surgery back in August. Unfortunately, it went horribly wrong. I just came home today since Aug. 17th. I wont go into the gorey details yet. I am doing fairly well and I am on the road to recovery. I guess you can say I am blessed. On the upside, I have lost 65 pounds so far. Hope everone is doing well! Lynne

hi lynne, i'm sorry to hear you had a hard time. but glAD to hear you are doing well now. congrats on that awsome weight loss. if you just got home something real bad must of happened. thats 2 months. wow. WELCOME BACK. Brenda

Thanks - yes it was really bad. I ended up in ICU for over 3 weeks on a ventilator. That was after I had been in the hospital for a week following the first surgery. I then got moved to a special care hospital where they wean vent patients for 2 more weeks then rehab for 2 more weeks. I ended up having 2 surgeries and the second one is where I aspirated into my lungs. I am making a good recovery now and I pray for no other complications. I haved impressed my team of doctors with how fast I am moving along. I have only been awake for 2 1/2 weeks now. I am very thankful to be alive. Lynne

Congratulations on being alive! Your girls must be so happy that you're finally home, and also, your hubby. How did he manage without you for that long? I pray that you have no other complications. Jackie B

I am glad to hear you are home and I pray that from this point forward you no longer have to deal with any complications or ill feelings. Remember in the long run it will all be worth it even though I am sure at this point you have questioned that.
